Joins Seahawks' practice squad
The Seahawks signed Plumlee to their practice squad Wednesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Before joining the Seahawks' practice squad Monday, Plumlee spent the majority of his 2024 campaign with the Jaguars' practice squad before being cut Nov. 12. The undrafted rookie from UCF threw for 5,838 yards, 34 touchdowns and 19 interceptions across his final two collegiate seasons.

Let go by Jacksonville
The Jaguars cut Plumlee from the practice squad Tuesday.
Analysis: Plumlee caught on with the Jaguars' practice squad at the end of August after failing to make the Steelers' 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He hasn't been elevated from the practice squad all season, and he'll now look to catch on with a team in need of a scout quarterback. Mac Jones and C.J. Beathard are the only two healthy quarterbacks on Jacksonville's roster as Trevor Lawrence faces a multiweek absence due a sprained left shoulder.

Joins Jacksonville's practice squad
The Jaguars signed Plumlee to their practice squad Friday.
Analysis: Plumlee signed with Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent in late April and saw limited preseason action, playing in just one game and completing three of four pass attempts for 32 yards. Jacksonville has Trevor Lawrence and Mac Jones as its two quarterbacks on the active roster, so Plumlee will work on the practice squad as the team's No. 3 QB. That role had previously looked to be reserved for E.J. Perry, who initially joined the team's practice squad Wednesday but was cut one day later.

Pittsburgh waived Plumlee on Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Plumlee did not get selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, but he did sign with the Steelers in April as a free agent out of UCF. He was brought in to complete against Kyle Allen for the No. 3 quarterback job behind Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Plumlee didn't see any action until the Steelers' preseason finale against the Lions on Saturday, during which he completed three of four passes for 32 yards.
