Miami signed Wease to its practice squad Thursday.
Analysis: The undrafted rookie couldn't play his way onto the Dolphins' final 53-man roster for 2025, but Wease is sticking around on the practice squad. It would probably take multiple injuries to Miami wideouts for Wease to see regular-season action this year.

The Dolphins waived Wease on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Undrafted out of Missouri, Wease signed with Miami back in April and played 70 offensive snaps during the preseason, finishing with a productive 10-104-2 receiving line on 15 targets. He was also standing out during training camp, so Wease could be a candidate to join the Dolphins' practice squad if he clears waivers.

Wease secured six of nine targets for 80 yards and two scores during Saturday's 24-17 preseason win over the Lions.
Analysis: Wease led the Dolphins in terms of targets, yards and touchdowns Saturday, with only Tanner Conner matching his receptions total. Both of his scores came with fellow rookie Quinn Ewers under center, with the two first connecting in the third quarter to tie things up at 14 overall, then once more early in the fourth quarter to give Miami a game-winning lead.
