Streater (foot) was placed on the active/non-football injury list Friday, Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Analysis: Streater was said to be fully recovered from last season's broken foot, so it's possible this is an unrelated issue, or else he may have just failed a conditioning test. Either way, Streater hopes to eventually compete with Michael Crabtree for the starting spot across from Amari Cooper, who will likely be Derek Carr's go-to guy this season. If nothing else, Streater should have a leg up on Andre Holmes, Kenbrell Thompkins and Brice Butler for the No. 3 receiver role.

Donnell (Achilles) is participating in team drills at training camp Friday, ESPN.com's Dan Graziano reports.

Analysis: Donnell, who missed mandatory June minicamp because of tendinitis in his Achilles, was never expected to miss training camp. This is still a situation worth watching, as the tight end recently mentioned that he dealt with a similar issue in college. If the Achilles starts to bother him again, it may just be a lingering issue that he'll have to deal with throughout the season.

    • Galette (chest), who signed a one-year...

Galette (chest), who signed a one-year contract with the Redskins on Friday, will participate in Saturday's practice.

Analysis: Galette's pectoral injury is apparently a non-issue, even though it was once feared (back in May/June) that he tore the muscle. The Redskins said he'll have to compete for a starting job, but given his performance the past few years, it's hard to imagine he won't win the competition. The team has a very promising group of outside linebackers, with Galette and Ryan Kerrigan supported by second-round rookie Preston Smith and 2014 second-rounder Trent Murphy. The rest of the Washington defense appears far less impressive, but a strong pass rush can go a long ways in hiding other holes. There is some chance Galette will lose time to a suspension this season, as he was recently released by the Saints for allegedly striking a woman with a belt in an old video of a beach fight. He was also arrested for domestic violence in January, and while the charges were ultimately dropped, the NFL will likely still look into the incident.

    • Richardson was placed on the non-football...

Richardson was placed on the non-football injury list Friday, Steve Corkran of RaiderBeat.com reports.

Analysis: With no report of an injury, it's possible Richardson just failed a conditioning test, in which case he could get on the field within a matter of days. It's still not a good sign, as conditioning was seemingly part of Richardson's problem during his unsuccessful stints in Cleveland and Indianapolis. He'll likely be competing for a backup role in Oakland, with Latavius Murray the heavy favorite to start, and Roy Helu expected to handle most of the work on passing downs. If Richardson struggles during training camp, he may end up on the wrong side of roster cuts.

Jackson is dealing with a strained calf, the Denver Post's Troy Renck reports.

Analysis: With fellow defensive end Derrick Wolfe suspended for the first four games of the season, Jackson's health will be of particular importance. He probably won't be an IDP option in Denver's 3-4 scheme, but Jackson is the Broncos' most dependable defensive lineman.
