Though Wilson (neck) expressed optimism with regard to his neck injury Wednesday night, the Star-Ledger suggests that running back may be a long shot to return to the field.

Analysis: Wilson, who is bouncing back from spinal fusion surgery, suffered what is being described as a "burner" during Tuesday's practice. In the wake of the setback, Wilson is slated to meet Monday with the doctor who performed his surgery in January, at which point we should get a better handle on the running back's actual prognosis. At this stage though, there appears to be legitimate concern that Wilson's upcoming medical exam may result in a less-than-favorable outcome.

Greenway, who new coach Mike Zimmer experimented with at middle linebacker during spring drills, will resume playing outside linebacker this upcoming season, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Analysis: Greenway spent time in the middle of Zimmer's 4-3 scheme during the beginning of team activities this year, but is expected to remain at his established outside linebacker position for the coming campaign. It appears Zimmer was simply gauging his Pro Bowl linebacker's skill set before embarking on their first season together. A tackling machine, Greenway has registered at least 130 stops in each of the past four seasons, giving him considerable IDP value no matter where he lines up.

Broyles (Achilles) reported no issues after two days of training camp, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Analysis: Broyles' rehab has gone well all summer, but it's certainly a positive sign that his Achilles is holding up under increased stress.

One of Detroit's best offensive weapons, running back Joique Bell, has returned to practice after missing the entire offseason due to knee surgery, MLive.com reports.

Analysis: Detroit doesn't lack for offensive firepower, but Bell emerged as a true threat for the Lions and certainly will make defenses more leery of selling out to defender Detroit's dangerous passing game now that he's healthy.

Wallace (hamstring) will sit out of practice until at least next week, the Miami Herald reports.

Analysis: Wallace exited Tuesday's practice early with a sore hamstring and has not seen the field since. Although it's considered a minor issue, the Dolphins will withhold their No. 1 wideout until he's able to return at full health. Wallace will not partake in the team's scrimmage at Sun Life Stadium over the weekend, but will aim to re-join his teammates in practice some time next week.
