      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

WhoDey Beats Demon Kids, Celebrates League Championship

WhoDey defeated Demon Kids 135.12 to 124.88 to improve their season record to 3-0 against them. They improve to 16-1, while Demon Kids drops to 10-7. Lamar Jackson (168 Pas Yds, 87 Rsh Yds, 2 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD) was the determining factor this week, putting up 29.42 points. Jackson continues to be a nice fourth-round pick for WhoDey and has played like a top-tier quarterback. This is the tightest victory for WhoDey in three head-to-head matchups. They beat Demon Kids 155.76 to 134.66 in Week 14 and again 163.92 to 131.32 in Week 5.

Demon Kids had one player that missed out on some opportunities. Despite being targeted seven times, Terry McLaurin could only reel in one catch. One spot where Demon Kids is wishing they could get a do-over is wide receiver. Demario Douglas could have started in place of Terry McLaurin, and that point difference would have changed the outcome.

With 33 touches this week for Saquon Barkley, it means that his touches have now increased in three consecutive games.

For the victorious side, two players have been heating up in the postseason : George Kittle and Calvin Ridley. During the playoffs, that duo has bettered their season scoring averages by 33% and 33%, respectively. On the other hand, WhoDey has a player moving in the wrong direction. Chris Boswell has fallen well beneath his year-to-date average in the postseason by 52%. Despite the loss, Demon Kids had a few players performing their best in the playoffs, most notably the Los Angeles Rams DEF and Jayden Daniels. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 10.50 and 33.10 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 62% and 55%. Conversely, the losers had a player who was sputtering under the brightest lights. Averaging 16.41 points on the season, McLaurin mustered just 9.25 per game in the playoffs.

WhoDey concluded the regular season in first place with a record of 14-1. They also ranked first in the league with 148.03 points per game. In their only other postseason game on their march to the title, WhoDey took down SOCAL RAIDERS, 128.38 to 119.68. They had the league's best average scoring margin this season, outpacing opponents by 31.26 points per game. Demon Kids ended the regular season in third place with a record of 9-6. With a scoring average of 121.98, they also placed fourth in the league in that metric. In their only other postseason game of the season, Demon Kids beat Ben, 153.32 to 141.88.
