Touchdown in five straight
St. Brown recorded two receptions on two targets for seven yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 52-14 win over the Titans.
Analysis: Jared Goff took to the air only 15 times -- often with a short field -- in Detroit's blowout win, leaving Sam LaPorta as the only regular starter to earn more than two targets. Despite the quiet day, St. Brown did manage to score in his fifth straight game on a one-yard touchdown catch early in the second quarter. Expect St. Brown to see a more typical allotment of targets in Week 9 against Green Bay.

Perfect catch rate in win
St. Brown secured all eight targets for 112 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 31-29 win over the Vikings on Sunday.
Analysis: St. Brown led the Lions in receptions, receiving yards and targets with totals that also served as the second highest for him this season. The star wideout's 35-yard scoring grab in the second quarter also extended his streak of games with a touchdown to four, while the 100-yard performance marked his second time eclipsing the century mark this season. Catches TD in blowout win
St. Brown recorded four catches on four targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 47-9 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: St. Brown saw his fewest targets of the season, primarily due to game script as the Lions took to the air only nine times in the final two quarters. He still managed to save his day early in the fourth quarter with a four-yard touchdown reception, marking his third straight game with a trip to the end zone. Overall, St. Brown has now topped 100 yards or found the end zone in four of five matchups on the campaign.

Records TDs through multiple means
St. Brown secured all six targets for 45 yards and a touchdown and also threw a seven-yard touchdown on his only pass attempt in the Lions' 42-29 win over the Seahawks on Monday night.
Analysis: St. Brown recorded a team-high number of catches and his second receiving touchdown of the campaign on an eight-yard grab in the fourth quarter. However, his most eye-catching moment of the night came in the unusual role of quarterback, as he threw a seven-yard touchdown pass to Jared Goff on the Lions' version of the Philly Special just past the midway point of the third quarter. Finds paydirt in Week 3 win
St. Brown caught seven of eight targets for 75 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: St. Brown caught a five-yard touchdown in the second quarter, then played a key role in Detroit's next touchdown in the final minute of the first half, as St. Brown made a one-yard catch and lateraled to Jahmyr Gibbs, who ran the remaining 20 yards into the end zone. Logs full practice Wednesday
St. Brown (quadricep) was a full participant in practice Wednesday.
Analysis: St. Brown departed this past Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers in the waning moments due to a leg contusion and cramping. Head coach Dan Campbell told Richard Silva of The Detroit News on Monday that St. Brown "will be good," and the wide receiver's activity level to begin Week 3 prep supports that notion. St. Brown thus is on track to play Sunday at Arizona.

Injury severity downplayed
Coach Dan Campbell said Monday that St. Brown (lower leg) "will be good" and has a soft-tissue injury, Richard Silva of The Detroit News reports.
Analysis: St. Brown was forced out of Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Buccaneers with roughly 30 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and missed the Lions' final five plays, but it looks like the team expects him to be available Week 3 against the Cardinals. After a quiet Week 1, St. Brown bounced back with 11 catches for 119 yards on 19 targets versus Tampa Bay. More information on his status will arrive Wednesday, at the latest, when Detroit's first official injury report of the week is released.

Dealing with contusion, cramping
St. Brown exited with about 30 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Buccaneers due to a leg contusion and cramping, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: St. Brown missed the Lions' final five plays of the contest due to a possible lower-body issue, but the wideout seems to have escaped Week 2 action without any serious harm. That said, St. Brown's status nonetheless merits monitoring ahead of this coming Sunday's game against the Cardinals. After being limited to three catches for 13 yards in the Lions' Week 1 overtime win over the Rams, Brown bounced back in Sunday's contest with 11 receptions for 119 yards on 19 targets.

Possible lower-body injury
St. Brown, who briefly left Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers, appears to be dealing with a lower-body issue, Kyle Meinke of mlive.com reports.
Analysis: Per Meinke, St. Brown was seen limping out of the locker room after Sunday's contest, but for now the wideout's unspecified injury isn't believed to be serious. With that in mind, coach Dan Campbell said, "He's all right. I don't think it's anything long-term, so that's good news." In any case, this report makes St. Brown's status worth monitoring ahead of next weekend's game against the Cardinals.

Bounces back with 19 Week 2 targets
St. Brown had 11 catches for 119 yards on 19 targets in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Buccaneers.
Analysis: The Lions made a concerted effort to get St. Brown involved after his disappointing Week 1 performance, as the star receiver racked up 11 first-half targets, which he turned into six catches for 58 yards. St. Brown posted similar second-half production and finished with eight more targets than second-place receiver Jameson Williams. Quiet in Week 1 win
St. Brown had three catches for 13 yards on six targets in Sunday's 26-20 overtime win over the Rams.
Analysis: St. Brown was surprisingly quiet in the season opener while Jameson Williams racked up 121 receiving yards and a touchdown and Detroit's ground game took over late to get the team into the win column. You have to go back all the way to a four-yard performance against the Cowboys in Week 7 of 2022 to find the last time St. Brown had such few yards in a game, but it's much too early to press the panic button. No preseason action
St. Brown did not play in Saturday's 24-17 preseason win over the Steelers.
Analysis: The Lions didn't play the majority of their starters this preseason and St. Brown was among them. He'll now turn his focus to a Week 1 matchup against the Rams and should remain the top pass-catching option in the offense after topping 145 targets in each of the last two seasons.

Not in line to play
St. Brown isn't in line to play in Saturday's preseason game at Kansas City, PJ Green of Fox 4 KC reports.
Analysis: Lions coach Dan Campbell didn't exactly commit to anything this week but did hint at holding out a lot of starters. St. Brown, of course, is one of the players that might sit even if other starters played, coming off a 2023 regular season with a 119-1,515-10 receiving line.

Not in uniform Thursday
St. Brown isn't suited up ahead of Thursday's preseason contest at the Giants, Justin Rogers of DetroitFootball.net reports.
Analysis: The same can be said for fellow wide receivers Jameson Williams and Kalif Raymond, meaning Donovan Peoples-Jones, Tre'Quan Smith and Tom Kennedy likely will be the first wide receivers to get on the field for the Lions in their exhibition opener. St. Brown himself signed a lucrative four-year extension back in the spring on the heels of back-to-back 100-catch campaigns and career highs in receiving yards (1,515) and touchdowns (10) over 16 regular-season games in 2023.

Gets four-year extension
St. Brown and the Lions reached agreement Tuesday on a four-year extension, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Rapoport relays that St. Brown's deal is worth more than $120 million, including $77 million guaranteed. If those numbers hold up when more details come out, St. Brown will tie Tyreek Hill's for average annual value ($30 million) for a receiver and have the stand-alone record for money guaranteed. Analysis: The 2021 fourth-round pick is entering the final season of his rookie contract, after catching 315 passes for 3,588 yards and 21 touchdowns through his first three years. It's likely only a matter of time before St. Brown becomes one of the highest-paid non-QBs in the league, though he may be hesitant to sign before seeing what other top WRs about to hit the open market end up getting, such as Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb and Ja'Marr Chase. Totals 89 yards in playoff loss
St. Brown recorded seven receptions on 11 targets for 87 yards in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the 49ers. He added one rush for two yards.
Analysis: St. Brown unsurprisingly had a key role in the Detroit offense, compiling double-digit targets for the fourth time in his last six games. He failed to top 100 yards or reach the end zone for the first time in that span, though he still managed long receptions of 23 and 17 yards -- both of which set up scores -- to make his mark on the contest. Hauls in winning touchdown Sunday
St. Brown caught eight of 14 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-23 divisional-round win over the Buccaneers.
Analysis: While Sam LaPorta led the Lions in catches, St. Brown paced the team in receiving yards and targets and was on the other end of Detroit's final score of the game, a nine-yard TD toss from Jared Goff with a little over six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Analysis: The moment wasn't too big for St. Brown in his playoff debut, as he led the Lions in every receiving category while notching the first 100-yard game of his postseason career. St. Brown didn't get involved on any of Detroit's three touchdown drives to open Sunday's victory, but he played a key role between the goal lines on each of those 75-yard scoring drives. Finishes regular season strong
St. Brown brought in seven of 10 targets for 144 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 30-20 win over the Vikings on Sunday.
Analysis: St. Brown found himself in the familiar position of leading the Lions across the board in receiving categories, essentially playing a normal amount of snaps in a game Detroit needed to position itself for a potential ascension to the No. 2 seed. The third-year wideout's yardage total was his second-highest tally of the season, and he heads into the postseason riding the momentum of a 119-1,515-10 line across 16 regular-season contests, including three 100-yard efforts in the last four games.

St. Brown secured six of eight targets for 90 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for 11 yards in the Lions' 20-19 loss to the Cowboys on Saturday night.

The third-year pro found the end zone from 11 yards out with 23 seconds remaining to put the Lions within a point at the time. Analysis: Minnesota had no answer for St. Brown with the division title on the line. Continuing to pile on the stats after already setting career highs in receiving yards (1,175) and touchdowns (seven) last week against Denver, St. Brown had his way with a burnable Vikings secondary over the middle of the field while also finding success working the sidelines and on a screen. St. Brown recorded seven receptions on nine targets for 112 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 42-17 win over the Broncos.
Analysis: St. Brown was overshadowed by the performances of Sam LaPorta and Jahmyr Gibbs, but he nevertheless turned in a needed bounceback performance. He entered the game having failed to top 100 receiving yards in four consecutive games, though he ended that stretch Saturday helped by three catches of over 20 yards. Held to 21 yards
St. Brown recorded three receptions on nine targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Bears.
Analysis: St. Brown saw a fairly typical number of targets, but he posted a season-low yardage total. He got off to a fairly normal start to the game by recording all three of his receptions within Detroit's first three offensive possessions. However, he was shut out from there as the Lions' entire offense faltered in the final two quarters. Finds end zone on quiet afternoon
St. Brown brought in two of six targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 33-28 win over the Saints on Sunday.
Analysis: The star receiver took a rare back seat to rookie Sam LaPorta on the afternoon, with the latter pacing the Lions' air attack with a career-best 9-140-1 line. St. Brown was able to salvage his otherwise quiet day with a 25-yard touchdown grab over the middle just before the midway point of the fourth quarter, but he finished with season lows in receptions, receiving yards and targets. Another productive outing
St. Brown caught nine of 11 targets for 95 yards during Thursday's 29-22 loss to Green Bay.
Analysis: Only Keenan Allen has averaged more targets per game than St. Brown has this season, and the USC product yet again took advantage of his voluminous role with a fifth eight-catch game in his past six outings. Finds end zone in Week 11 win
St. Brown caught eight of 11 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-26 win over the Bears.
Analysis: St. Brown's streak of 100-yard receiving performances ended at four games, but he got into the end zone for the fifth time this season on a seven-yard touchdown catch 11 seconds before halftime. The star receiver has caught 73 of 98 targets for 898 yards heading into Thursday's Thanksgiving visit from the Packers. St. Brown (illness) secured six of nine targets for 108 yards in the Lions' 26-14 win over the Raiders on Monday night.

The gifted wideout led the Lions in receiving yards while checking in second in receptions and targets, generating his third straight 100-yard effort in the process. St. Brown recorded 13 receptions on 19 targets for 102 yards in Sunday's 38-6 loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: The Lions offense was stalled for the entire game except for one late possession in garbage time, but that didn't stop St. Brown from recording his fourth 100-yard performance of the season. He did so almost entirely based on volume, as he averaged only 5.4 yards per target with his longest gain of the day going for 15 yards. He tallied season-high marks in targets, receptions and yards, and his performance was highlighted by lengthy receptions of 27 and 23 yards -- the former of which went for a touchdown. With no involvement in team reps thus far in Week 5, St. Brown may need to take part in drills in some capacity Friday to have a realistic shot at playing Sunday versus the Panthers. Tending to abdominal injury
St. Brown was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report due to an abdominal injury.
Analysis: Head coach Dan Campbell was non-committal about St. Brown's availability for Week 5 earlier Wednesday due to a health concern, which now has been clarified. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, St. Brown was spotted at Tuesday's unofficial practice running at full speed on the side, which generally would be a decent sign that he'll be able to play through the pain. Still, St. Brown wouldn't have taken part Wednesday if the Lions had held a session, so his status will be one to…read more

Iffy for Sunday
Lions head coach Dan Campbell was non-committal about St. Brown's availability for Sunday's game against the Panthers while the receiver tends to an unspecified injury, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: Campbell offered no insight into the injury, which St. Brown presumably sustained in the Lions' 34-20 win over the Packers last Thursday. St. Brown took on a relatively normal snap share (88 percent) in that game and finished with five catches for 56 yards and a touchdown, so no sign of injury was evident in his playing time or production. The Lions will hold their first official Week 5 practice Wednesday and release their injury report after the session, at which time the nature of St. Brown's…read more

Finds end zone in Week 4 win
St. Brown secured five of seven targets for 56 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 34-20 win over the Packers on Thursday night.
Analysis: The star wideout took a back seat to running back David Montgomery, who pace Detroit's victory with a 121-yard, three-touchdown effort on the ground. However, St. Brown found a way to make an impact via his 24-yard scoring grab in the first quarter. The third-year star's reception and receiving yardage totals were season lows, yet he remains an elite option in all formats heading into a Week 5 home matchup against the Panthers on Sunday, Oct. 8.

Tops century mark
St. Brown caught nine of 12 targets for 102 yards in Sunday's 20-6 win over the Falcons. He also rushed once for four yards.
Analysis: St. Brown overcame a toe injury to suit up and performed like his usual self. The Pro Bowl wideout led Detroit in catches, targets and receiving yards, although rookie Sam LaPorta had the team's only touchdown grab. Along with recording at least six receptions in each game this season, St. Brown has either scored or topped 100 yards in all three contests. Suiting up Sunday
St. Brown (toe) is active for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
Analysis: Despite finishing the week as a full practice participant, St. Brown took a questionable tag into Sunday while tending to a toe injury. As anticipated, the toe issue won't prevent St. Brown from suiting up for the Week 3 matchup, though the wideout acknowledged that he'll play the game with a steel plate in his shoe. According to ESPN.com, St. Brown said that he has previously played with a plate in his shoe during his high school days, so assuming he experiences no discomfort, his snaps aren't…read more

St. Brown (toe) is expected to suit up versus the Falcons on Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: St. Brown is listed as questionable for Week 3 despite having practiced in full Friday, but the expectation is that he'll be on the field versus Atlanta. Official word on St. Brown's status should come roughly 90 minutes before Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, when Detroit releases its inactive list. On track despite questionable tag
St. Brown (toe) was a full practice participant Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: St. Brown and coach Dan Campbell both were optimistic Friday morning/afternoon, and the upgrade to full practice all but confirms Detroit's top target will suit up for the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. While he won't necessarily have volume/workload limitations, St. Brown did mention to Woodyard that he'll play with a steel plate in his shoe, suggesting there's at least some degree of concern about his injured toe. St. Brown (toe) suggested Friday that he'll play in Sunday's game against Atlanta, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: St. Brown's comments came about two hours after coach Dan Campbell told reporters he felt "pretty good" about the wide receiver's chances of playing. It remains to be seen how the Lions list St. Brown on their final injury report, with a 'questionable' designation still possible amidst the optimism.

Coach Dan Campbell said Friday he feels "pretty good" about St. Brown (toe) playing Sunday against the Falcons, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: St. Brown likely will be listed as questionable on the final injury report and seems to have better odds than the team's other injured starters. Out of the five starters that missed practice Wednesday, only St. Brown was able to return Thursday, albeit as a limited participant.

St. Brown (knee) was limited at Thursday's practice.
Analysis: After coach Dan Campbell told Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com on Wednesday that St. Brown was dealing with a toe injury, was day-to-day and wouldn't practice to begin Week 3 prep, the wide receiver mixed into some drills one day later. It's a decent enough sign that St. Brown is doing everything possible to be available Sunday against the Falcons, but his status still will be one to monitor closely, especially with how the Lions list him on Friday's practice report.

St. Brown (toe) was present for Thursday's practice, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: St. Brown didn't practice Wednesday, so his return to the field Thursday, in any capacity, is a step in the right direction for the wideout ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons. The Lions' looming injury report will provide added context with regard to St. Brown's Week 3 status by clarifying his level of participation.

Head coach Dan Campbell said Wednesday that St. Brown is dealing with a toe injury and is considered day-to-day, but the receiver won't participate in practice as the Lions begin Week 3 prep, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: St. Brown departed Sunday's overtime loss to the Seahawks in the fourth quarter due to what was initially reported as cramping. The star wideout's next chance to get on the practice field will come Thursday. St. Brown caught six of nine targets for 71 yards with one touchdown during Thursday's 21-20 win over the Chiefs.
Analysis: It was more of the same for St. Brown relative to his 2022 numbers, which included per-game averages of 6.6 receptions on 9.1 targets with 72.6 receiving yards. After notoriously getting tackled numerous times around the five-yard last season, it was a bonus for fantasy managers to also see St. Brown plunge into the end zone. St. Brown (ankle) wasn't listed on the Lions' injury report Monday.
Analysis: St. Brown dealt with an ankle injury over the last couple of weeks, but his omission from the Lions' first injury report of 2023 suggests he'll face zero limitations during Thursday's season opener versus the Chiefs. The 2021 fourth-round pick was solid as a rookie, but he took another step forward in Year 2, securing 106 receptions (on 146 targets) for 1,161 yards and six touchdowns.

The Lions expect St. Brown (ankle) to return to practice next week, Tim Twentyman of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: It was originally reported that St. Brown would practice this week, but the Lions are giving their star receiver a few more days to recover from his ankle issue. There's been no indication that St. Brown's status for the season opener versus Kansas City on Sept. 7 is in any jeopardy. Doing well in recovery
Coach Dan Campbell said Tuesday that St. Brown (lower leg) is "doing great" but won't suit up for Friday's preseason finale against the Panthers.
Analysis: The wideout wasn't a candidate to play in Friday's exhibition matchup regardless of health after being injured last Wednesday, so being ruled out early still leaves open the possibility he could begin to practice again this week. With two-and-a-half weeks remaining until Sept. 7's regular-season opener against Kansas City, St. Brown still has time to get in some reps before Week 1.

It appears that the star wideout has avoided a serious injury, which is major cause for relief for Detroit's offense as a whole. St. Brown said that he is aiming to become more of a deep threat, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: Only seven players have caught more passes than St. Brown since he was drafted in 2021, but he hasn't topped six touchdowns in either of the past two years, and only once has he caught a pass longer than 40 yards. The 22-year-old took his game to another level in his sophomore campaign, racking up 106 receptions for 1,161 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games. St. Brown caught four of fives targets for 62 yards during Sunday's 41-10 win over Chicago.
Analysis: St. Brown was surprisingly unproductive on a day the Lions found plenty of offensive success, likely a result of the run game dominating in full force plus Jared Goff finding tight ends and running backs for his three passing touchdowns. Analysis: Having already caught at least seven passes in seven of 10 games he was healthy enough to log at least half of the offensive snaps, St. Brown was about the only Lions weapon that the Jets defense didn't have an answer for. True game-time decision
St. Brown (ankle), who's listed as questionable, is considered a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup against the Patriots, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: St. Brown was sidelined for the team's Week 4 loss to Seattle due to the ankle injury and didn't practice this week until logging a limited session Friday. The Lions may elect to be cautious with their top wideout and hold him out until after the team's Week 6 bye, similar to what they are doing with running back D'Andre Swift. Regardless, if St. Brown is available, he's a must-start after his hot start to the campaign, so fantasy managers should confirm his status ahead of Sunday's 1:00 PM ET…read more

Listed as questionable after LP
St. Brown (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against New England after returning to practice Friday as a limited participant.
Analysis: St. Brown declined to provide an update on his status, merely telling reporters that he was going for rehab work right after practice, per Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com. St. Brown thus appears truly questionable entering the weekend, while fellow wideout DJ Chark (ankle) has been ruled out and Josh Reynolds (ankle) is listed as questionable but seems more likely to play. The Patriots and Lions have an early kickoff at 1:00 p.m. ET, with inactive lists due around 11:30 a.m.

St. Brown (ankle) returned to practice Friday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: St. Brown's return at the end of the week could set him up for a questionable designation on the final injury report. He hasn't practiced since injuring his ankle in a Week 3 loss to the Vikings.

Still absent from practice
St. Brown (ankle) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: Both of the Lions' top skill-position players were absent from the field for the second day in a row to begin Week 5 prep, as running back D'Andre Swift (shoulder/ankle) was also sitting out the session. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com suggested that the Lions are planning to hold Swift out Sunday in New England with the hope of having him back to full strength coming out of a Week 6 bye, but it's unclear if the team intends to follow a similar blueprint with St. Brown. No return to practice
St. Brown (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
Analysis: Neither are DJ Chark or Josh Reynolds, both of whom are also nursing ankle injuries. Reynolds played through his and put up a 7-81-1 receiving line in a 48-45 loss to Seattle this past Sunday, while St. Brown and Chark both were inactive for the contest. The Lions play in New England this Sunday and then have a bye Week 6.

Ruled out for Week 4
St. Brown (ankle) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: St. Brown suffered a right ankle sprain Week 3 and will need to miss at least one game while he recovers, making his next chance to return Sunday, Oct. 9 at New England. Meanwhile, DJ Chark (ankle) is expected to suit up Sunday, while D'Andre Swift (shoulder) likely is out, per Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site. In St. Brown's stead, both Josh Reynolds (ankle) and tight end T.J. Hockenson (foot) could benefit from increased target volume, as long as they're also cleared to play.

Sidelined for another practice
St. Brown (ankle) isn't practicing Thursday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: The right ankle sprain that St. Brown picked up the Lions' Week 3 loss to the Vikings was initially believed to be a minor concern, but the second-year wideout's absence from back-to-back practices to begin Week 4 prep would seem to suggest otherwise. The Lions may just be exercising some caution with their No. 1 receiver early in the week, but St. Brown will likely need to get back on the field in some capacity Friday for fantasy managers to feel good about his chances of playing Sunday…read more

Doesn't practice Wednesday
St. Brown (ankle) was listed as a non-participant in practice Wednesday.
Analysis: St. Brown played through an ankle issue Week 3 at Minnesota and still put up six catches (on nine targets) for 73 yards in a 28-24 loss. On Wednesday, he told Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com that he's dealing with nothing more than a sprained right ankle and views himself as day-to-day. Considering his comment, St. Brown may in danger of sitting out Sunday against the Seahawks, so his status should continue to be watched as the weekend approaches.

Not practicing Wednesday
St. Brown (ankle) isn't expected to practice Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: St. Brown continued playing after rolling his right ankle in the second quarter of a 28-24 loss to the Vikings on Sunday, and while the injury isn't expected to be a long-term issue, it's unclear if he'll be able to practice this week. Fellow wideout Josh Reynolds is also dealing with an ankle injury and will be held out of Wednesday's practice.

Cleared of long-term injury
St. Brown underwent tests on his right ankle Monday, and while the results were encouraging, the receiver's status for the Lions' Week 4 game against the Seahawks is uncertain, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: According to Pelissero, St. Brown isn't dealing with a long-term injury after rolling his right ankle in the second quarter of Sunday's loss to the Vikings, but the 23-year-old could still be at risk of missing some time. The Lions will return to the practice field Wednesday, and if St. Brown is able to take part in at least a limited capacity, it would bode well for his chances of being available this weekend. Plays through ankle issue
St. Brown recorded six receptions on nine targets for 73 yards in Sunday's 28-24 loss to the Vikings.
Analysis: St. Brown tied for the team lead in receptions and set up a two-yard touchdown for Jamaal Williams with a 30-yard catch and run midway through the first quarter. He lacked some explosiveness on his catches for the rest of the game, and he told reporters after the game that he rolled his right ankle during the second quarter, per Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com. St. Brown caught nine of 12 targets for 116 yards with two touchdowns while rushing twice for 68 yards during Sunday's 36-27 win over Washington.
Analysis: Through two games, it seems as if preseason concerns that St. Brown wouldn't be able to maintain the target share he handled down the stretch of last year were significantly overblown. While perhaps benefiting from an inviting matchup with the Commanders down Kamren Curl (thumb) in this one, St. Brown nonetheless racked up yet another productive fantasy outing. Remains target monster
St. Brown caught eight of 12 targets for 64 yards with one touchdown during Sunday's 38-35 loss to the Eagles.
Analysis: Many were pessimistic about St. Brown sustaining the production he had down the stretch of last season when both of T.J. Hockenson and D'Andre Swift were banged up and DJ Chark wasn't on the team. However, the second-year receiver kept on rolling in the season opener, matching the most targets he saw in any game last year while finding the end zone for the fifth consecutive game dating back to last season. St. Brown caught three of five targets for 34 yards in Sunday's preseason finale against the Steelers.
Analysis: St. Brown got to get in one more tune-up appearance, despite some key starters sitting out. The talented sophomore is looking to take a step forward after a promising rookie campaign. Expect St. Brown to be Jared Goff's primary target after the two built up a solid rapport in 2021. The Lions will be taking on the Eagles to begin the 2022 regular season on Sunday, Sept. 11.

St. Brown caught both his targets for 29 yards in Friday's 27-23 preseason loss to the Falcons.
Analysis: St. Brown picked up where he left off last season, hauling in a pair of passes from Jared Goff on Detroit's opening drive. After recording 90 catches for 912 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie, St. Brown figures to remain a key to the Lions offense in 2022.

Competition for targets
Detroit's offseason acquisitions could potentially lead to a lesser role for St. Brown than he had in the final six games of last season, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. "Adding some receivers, I think we're a complete offense now if you ask me, so I'm excited to see what we can do," St. Brown noted.
Analysis: Only Cooper Kupp was more productive than St. Brown was down the stretch of last season, but he got there with an inflated target share that was aided by the absences of fellow short-range receivers T.J. Hockenson and D'Andre Swift. The healthy return of those two alone would figure to eat away at a large chunk of the 11.2 targets per game St. Brown was seeing. St. Brown is being joined by 2022 first-round draft pick Jameson Williams within the Lions' receiving corps, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: After trying to get by with aging veterans in Tyrell Williams and Breshad Perriman last year, Detroit enters the 2022 campaign with a significant upgrade at outside receiver in the form of Jameson Williams and a 25-year-old second-rounder (2018) in DJ Chark. St. Brown caught eight passes for 109 yards and one touchdown on 10 targets while running for 12 yards on one carry against Green Bay on Sunday.
Analysis: The big game rounds out what has been a highly promising second half to St. Brown's rookie season, one that ends with six straight games with double-digit targets (67 total) while accumulating 51 catches for 560 yards and five touchdowns (76.1 percent catch rate, 8.4 yards per target). Continues improvement
St. Brown caught eight passes for 111 yards and one touchdown on 11 targets and ran for 23 yards and one touchdown on two carries against Seattle on Sunday.
Analysis: The rookie fourth-round pick has been on a tear in the past five weeks, and this effort was his most productive entry yet in what was already a highly impressive stretch. St. Brown had 35 receptions for 340 yards and three touchdowns on 46 targets in the four games prior to this one, and at no point in that span could anyone accuse St. Brown of benefiting from the quarterback play, especially in the games featuring Tim Boyle. Analysis: St. Brown keeps rolling and has now seen at least 11 targets in four consecutive games while posting at least 86 yards with a touchdown in three of them. This latest stat line might be the most impressive, though, considering the rookie did it with backup Tim Boyle under center. St. Brown caught eight of 11 targets for 90 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 30-12 win over Arizona.
Analysis: Quarterback Jared Goff acknowledged during the week that St. Brown is becoming a security blanket of sorts, and he backed up that sentiment by peppering the rookie with double-digit targets yet again. St. Brown now has a whopping 35 targets over the past three weeks and it has translated to 249 yards and two touchdowns. Becoming security blanket
St. Brown is becoming a security-blanket receiver for QB Jared Goff, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. "That's the role that as a slot guy and what he can do, he'd like to grow into and we're getting there and I'd like him to grow into that too because it's a nice thing for a quarterback to have," Goff said Wednesday.
Analysis: Goff needs someone to throw to with T.J. Hockenson (finger) set to join Quintez Cephus (collarbone) on IR, D'Andre Swift (shoulder) yet to return to practice, and Jamaal Williams on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Amid a slew of missed games between the above players in recent weeks, St. Brown drew 12 targets a piece in each of the past two games en route to 18 total receptions for 159 yards and one touchdown. Analysis: He led all players in catches, receiving yards and targets on the day, as the rookie continues to emerge as Jared Goff's top option. St. Brown has an 18-159-1 line on 24 targets over the last two games, and he could be busy again in Week 15 if the Lions fall into another big hole against the Cardinals.

While he made a number of nice catches throughout the day, no play was bigger than his first career touchdown reception that came as time expired. Snags four short passes
St. Brown secured four of four targets for 18 yards during Sunday's 13-10 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: St. Brown literally accounted for 100 percent of Detroit's wide receiver production, as the remainder of Tim Boyle's 77 passing yards went to tight ends. If Jared Goff (ribs) remains sidelined in Week 12 against Chicago, there's no receiver on Detroit who can confidently be used in fantasy lineups.

St. Brown recorded four receptions on six targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 16-16 tie against Pittsburgh.
Analysis: St. Brown was matched in targets by both Kalif Raymond and D'Andre Swift, but he managed to lead the team in receiving by 32 yards. He did his primary damage on two catches, with his best effort being a 30-yard gain on the first play of overtime. Modest rebound against Eagles
St. Brown caught three of five targets for 46 yards during Sunday's 44-6 loss to Philadelphia.
Analysis: St. Brown easily led all Lions wideouts in targets on a day when nearly three quarters of Jared Goff's pass attempts went to tight ends and running backs. However, it was at least some sort of rebound for the rookie after he didn't see any targets last week against the Rams. Instead, Kalif Raymond, T.J. Hockenson and D'Andre Swift combined for nearly 85 percent of the targets while cornerback Bobby Price even caught a pass. Analysis: In the absence of Tyrell Williams (concussion) and now Quintez Cephus (collarbone), St. Brown tied Kalif Raymond for the lead in targets among Lions wide receivers. However, only tight end T.J. Leads team in receiving
St. Brown had seven receptions (eight targets) for 65 yards in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Vikings.
Analysis: St. Brown finished the contest leading the Lions in all receiving categories, one week after sharing the team lead in targets. The 2021 fourth-round pick is starting to look like Jared Goff's favorite option at the wideout position. St. Brown should begin to garner interest in deeper PPR formats and is worth keeping an eye on in shallower leagues in the event this budding relationship between quarterback and receiver continues to grow.

St. Brown caught six of eight targets for 70 yards during Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Bears.
Analysis: After totaling 10 targets over the first three weeks of the season, St. Brown nearly reached that number Sunday alone as he shared the team lead in targets with T.J. Hockenson. While Quintez Cephus was the No. 1 receiver and Kalif Raymond popped for two scores, there is certainly room in the slot for St. Brown to continue making a name for himself going forward, though the eventual return of Tyrell Williams (concussion) could throw a wrench into things.

Analysis: Even with Tyrell Williams (concussion) sidelined, St. Brown saw just 43 percent of the offensive snaps after seeing no less than 59 percent in the first two games. It's clear the rookie is well behind Quintez Cephus and Kalif Raymond in the pecking order, and St. Brown won't find things any easier once Williams is back in the fold as soon as Week 6.

St. Brown could see a large number of targets this season after Detroit released Breshad Perriman on Monday, Chris Burke of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: St. Brown already was in line to have a decent role in the offense with Perriman on board, but there's more upside for the rookie without the previously presumed starting outside receiver in town. While St. Brown seems to be behind Kalif Raymond and possibly Quintez Cephus in the rotation to start the year, the Lions' receiving corps remains as one of the most underwhelming league-wide. Analysis: The Lions' depth chart at wide receiver remains wide open, but St. Brown has done little to climb it during game action, catching exactly two passes in all three preseason contests for only 28 total yards. The fact that he was a fourth-round pick in the 2021 draft should assure him of a spot on the 53-man roster and maybe even steady target volume, but fantasy value could be elusive.

St. Brown caught two of five targets for 12 yards during Saturday's 26-20 preseason loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: After having an impressive offseason, training camp and preseason opener, St. Brown's performance Saturday was somewhat underwhelming. While many of the team's first-half offensive struggles can probably be blamed on QB Tim Boyle, it was St. Brown's fault on at least one incompletion, and it's possible multiple drops could be attributed to the USC product. Building rapport with Goff
St. Brown caught both of his targets for 12 yards in Friday's 16-15 preseason loss to the Bills.
Analysis: Detroit doesn't have much in terms of established weapons at wide receiver and is also dealing with injuries at the position, which has opened the door for St. Brown to build some nice early chemistry with quarterback Jared Goff. In addition to his two catches that counted, St. Brown also had a 13-yard catch-and-run erased by a penalty. Analysis: With Tyrell Williams, Breshad Perriman (hip) and Quintez Cephus (head) all having missed time due to injury, St. Brown has logged plenty of reps with the first-team offense. While Williams is still expected to open the regular season as the No. 1 option at wideout, there probably isn't a wide receiver corps in the league that is less settled than Detroit's.
