Pre-Season Outlook
Jeanty enters the league as one of the most promising running back prospects in recent memory. At 5-foot-9, 211 pounds, Jeanty combines a low center of gravity with impressive balance and power, regularly bouncing off tacklers with little loss of momentum. He's also a home-run threat, having reached 21.7 mph on the field last season, the fastest speed among incoming rookie backs. That proven athleticism helped him bypass pre-draft testing without consequence, going sixth overall to the Raiders. At Boise State, Jeanty even showed he could excel in different roles, thriving as a dual threat in 2023 (18.3 carries, 3.6 catches per game) before shifting to a heavy rushing load in 2024 (26.7 carries, 1.7 catches). In Las Vegas, he'll have the opportunity to produce big numbers right away, joining a backfield that struggled badly last season. The offseason addition of 33-year-old Raheem Mostert shouldn't be much of an obstacle. With Geno Smith at quarterback and Chip Kelly calling plays, Jeanty could quickly become the focal point of the offense and an RB1 for fantasy.
