Moves to injured reserve
The Jaguars placed Kirk (collarbone) on injured reserve Saturday.
Analysis: Kirk already has been ruled out for the season following the broken left collarbone that he suffered last Sunday against the Packers, so this transaction is merely a procedural move. He'll join fellow WRs Devin Duvernay (lower body) and David White (knee) on IR, while Brian Thomas (chest) and Gabe Davis (shoulder) are questionable for Sunday's game at Philadelphia, and Parker Washington, Tim Jones and practice-squad elevations Elijah Cooks and Austin Trammell are the healthy options at the…read more

Out for season with collarbone injury
Kirk fractured his collarbone in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Packers and will miss the remainder of the season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Kirk had his left arm in a sling after the game after exiting in the second half with what the Jaguars originally termed a shoulder injury, but it turned out to be a fractured collarbone. He will finish the 2024 season with 27 catches for 379 yards and one touchdown on 47 targets in eight games. More opportunities will likely open up for Parker Washington in a Jacksonville wide receiver room that also saw Brian Thomas (chest) and Gabe Davis (shoulder) made early exits in Week 8.

Arm in sling after game
Kirk's left arm was in a sling after Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Packers, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: After exiting with a shoulder injury, the wideout was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the contest, and given DiRocco's report, Kirk's status for next weekend's game against the Eagles is cloudy. Fellow WRs Brian Thomas (chest) and Gabe Davis (shoulder) also were injured versus Green Bay, with the trio's status now worth tracking closely in the coming days.

Leaves early with shoulder injury
Kirk suffered an injury to his left shoulder with 13:24 remaining in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Packers and has been ruled out for the remainder of the contest, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports. He recorded two catches for 59 yards on five targets prior to departing.
Analysis: Jacksonville had its top three receivers leave the Week 8 contest early, though Brian Thomas (chest) and Gabe Davis (shoulder) were listed as questionable to return after suffering their respective injuries. The team didn't waste any time ruling out Kirk, who immediately headed to the locker room after landing hard on his left arm while attempting to reel in a deep target from quarterback Trevor Lawrence on 3rd-and-11. Chunk gain on one catch
Kirk brought in one of three targets for 24 yards in the Jaguars' 32-16 win over the Patriots on Sunday in London.
Analysis: Kirk made one of his signature chunk gains on his one reception, and although the modest target total was disappointing, the veteran wideout was partly a victim of circumstance. Trevor Lawrence put up only 20 pass attempts due to the way game script unfolded, helping lead to Kirk's third one-catch tally of the season. Kirk figures to have to be much more involved in a Week 8 home matchup against the Packers.

Three catches in London defeat
Kirk brought in three of six targets for 39 yards in the Jaguars' 35-16 loss to the Bears on Sunday in London.
Analysis: Kirk finished third in receptions, receiving yards and targets for the Jaguars with his lowest totals in the first two categories since Week 2. The veteran wideout still drew an appreciable amount of Trevor Lawrence's attention, however, and Kirk certainly has the ability to bounce back against an inconsistent Patriots defense in a Week 7 matchup at Wembley Stadium.

Strong yardage output in win
Kirk brought in all four targets for 88 yards in the Jaguars' 37-34 win over the Colts on Sunday.
Analysis: Kirk finished with the second-highest receiving yardage total on the afternoon for Jacksonville with a figure that also served as a new season high. The veteran wideout has left a forgettable start to the season firmly in the dust, as he now boasts a 19-228-1 line over his last three games after recording only two receptions for 29 yards over the first two contests of the campaign. Kirk next takes aim at a tough Bears defense in a Week 6 matchup in London.

Nabs first TD of 2024
Kirk caught seven of 12 targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Texans.
Analysis: The veteran wideout led the Jaguars in receptions and targets, although rookie Brian Thomas out-gained him by 25 receiving yards. Kirk has seen double-digit targets in back-to-back contests, and he appears to have re-asserted himself as Trevor Lawrence's most reliable downfield option, capping his performance Sunday with his first TD of the season on an eight-yard grab in the third quarter. Kirk will look to keep rolling in Week 5 against the Colts.

Big resurgence in loss
Kirk secured eight of 10 targets for 79 yards in the Jaguars' 47-10 loss to the Bills on Monday night.
Analysis: After an utterly forgettable first two games where he'd generated a combined 2-29-0 line on seven targets, Kirk was the focus of Trevor Lawrence's attention very frequently in the lopsided loss. The veteran wideout led the way for Jacksonville in all of receptions, receiving yards and targets, a major departure from the first pair of contests. Kirk's usage Monday night was much more in line with what fantasy managers' expectations were coming into the season, and he could be very busy again…read more

Uninvolved again
Kirk recorded one catch on three targets for minus-1 yard in Sunday's 18-13 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Kirk was targeted less than Gabe Davis, Brenton Strange and Brian Thomas, and he now has only two receptions for 29 yards through two games. His slow start can be blamed at least in part on Jacksonville's sluggish offensive performances, as the team mustered only 81 yards in the first half and was then reliant on deep shots to move the ball in the second quarter. Limited to one big catch
Kirk brought in one of four targets for 30 yards in the Jaguars' 20-17 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
Analysis: With Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones now elsewhere, Kirk was expected to fill a true No. 1 role for Trevor Lawrence, at least early in the season. However, that didn't exactly come to fruition Sunday, with Kirk unable to follow up his early second-quarter chunk play. Kirk did finish tied for the team lead in targets, but the entire passing game could be more productive in a Week 2 home opener against a Browns team that played much less effective defense on the road than it did at home last season.

Cleared of calf injury
Kirk (calf) was a full participant in practice Wednesday.
Analysis: The only player who didn't attain full participation for Jacksonville on Wednesday was safety Daniel Thomas (Achilles), so Kirk had no limitations and isn't in danger of missing the season opener in Miami on Sunday. Kirk had missed some time in training camp due to what was described as a mild calf injury, but he has plenty of established chemistry with quarterback Trevor Lawrence and is set to work as Jacksonville's top wide receiver following the offseason departure of Calvin Ridley.

Will practice this week
Coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Kirk (calf) will resume practicing this week, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Analysis: Kirk has missed roughly two weeks of practice due to a calf injury described as mild, so it will be encouraging to see him back on the field in at least a limited capacity. The 27-year-old still has just under two weeks remaining to get fully healthy for Jacksonville's regular-season opener against the Dolphins on Sunday, Sept. 8, so he figures to be ready to rock by the time Week 1 kicks off.

Has minor calf injury
Kirk is dealing with a "mild" calf injury and won't practice this week, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Analysis: Coach Doug Pederson termed the absence "precautionary" and said Kirk will be re-evaluated next week, per Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville. The Jags plan to rest key players this upcoming Saturday against Tampa Bay, after giving most of the top guys (including Kirk) a single drive in a preseason-opening win over the Chiefs on Sunday. No targets in preseason opener
Kirk did not log any targets during the Jaguars' 26-13 preseason win over the Chiefs on Saturday night.
Analysis: The Jaguars' starting offense was out there for the first two possessions, but Kirk wasn't on the receiving end of any of Trevor Lawrence's four pass attempts. Despite the quiet night in the opener, Kirk's chemistry with Lawrence is above question as they head into their third season together, and the veteran wideout is the clear No. 1 receiver in Jacksonville's air attack following the departure of Calvin Ridley this offseason.

Kirk and other starters are scheduled to play "a series or two" in Saturday's preseason game against Kansas City, Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union reports.
Analysis: Kirk and TE Evan Engram are the returning standouts in a new-look group of pass catchers, with Calvin Ridley (Titans) and Zay Jones (Cardinals) having been replaced by Gabe Davis and first-round pick Brian Thomas. There's been no report of any injury trouble for Kirk this spring or summer, after he missed the final five games of last season to undergo core muscle surgery. Finishes with 787 yards in 12 games
Kirk (groin) finished the 2023 season with 57 catches on 85 targets for 787 yards and three touchdowns in 12 appearances. He also rushed once for six yards.

Could suit up Week 18
Kirk (groin) will have his 21-day practice window open Wednesday, and he could return for Sunday's regular-season finale versus Tennessee, Mark Long of the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Kirk went on IR on Dec. 8, and he's sat out the required four games to be eligible to return. That's far from a guarantee for Week 18 given the wideout's long layoff, but Jacksonville could certainly use Kirk's talents against the Titans on Sunday as the team can clinch the AFC South with a win. Kirk's practice level during Week 18 prep should provide insight about his chances of suiting up for the regular-season finale.

Despite fairly consistent volume, Kirk now has fewer than 50 receiving yards in three of his last five games after failing to reach that mark only once in his first five contests of the season. Analysis: Calvin Ridley wound up being Trevor Lawrence's favorite downfield target in the Jaguars' opener, leaving little volume left over for Kirk. It's an ominous sign for the former Cardinal as he tries to repeat his breakout 2022 campaign, but Kirk's established chemistry with Lawrence should serve him well as secondaries begins to focus more on shutting down Ridley. Kirk posted just a 3-20-0 line through two exhibitions, but after a career-best 84-catch, 1,180-yard, seven-touchdown tally in 2022, he's expected to once again play an integral role in the air attack in the coming campaign, albeit with an expected reduction in targets due to the arrival of Calvin Ridley.

Good to go off knee injury
Kirk (knee) participated in OTAs on Tuesday, Jaguar Report's John Shipley reports.
Analysis: Kirk injured his knee in last season's playoff loss to the Chiefs, so this is the first real update on him since the Jaguars were knocked out. The 27-year-old wideout wasn't sporting a brace or anything at Tuesday's session, so it's probably safe to consider Kirk 100 percent healthy. Kirk said after Saturday's divisional-round loss at Kansas City that his left knee "is not feeling great," but it's been determined that its structurally normal, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Kirk missed a portion of the fourth quarter after suffering a knee injury on an incompletion from quarterback Trevor Lawrence, but the wide receiver made a five-yard catch immediately before a Riley Patterson field goal that whittled the score to 27-20 with 25 seconds remaining. Ultimately, Kirk finished with seven receptions (on 14 targets) for 52 yards and one touchdown while adding an 18-yard rush. He'll turn his focus to recovering from the health concern this offseason.

Suffers knee injury Saturday
Kirk exited Saturday's divisional-round game at Kansas City due to a knee injury, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Analysis: Midway through the fourth quarter, Kirk remained on the turf after a pass directed his way by quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Jaguars trainers evaluated Kirk's left leg on the field before assisting him off the field and directing him to the sideline tent, where he was diagnosed with a knee issue. If he's unable to return, he'll end the divisional round with six catches (on 13 targets) for 47 yards and one touchdown to go with an 18-yard carry.

Racks up 14 targets
Kirk recorded eight receptions on 14 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 31-30 wild-card round win over the Chargers.
Analysis: After signing an attention-grabbing contract to join Jacksonville last offseason, Kirk showed his value on the field in Saturday's comeback win. He racked up a season-high 14 targets in the team's biggest matchup of the campaign, and he delivered by regularly getting open in the short and middle areas of the field to help the Jaguars consistently move the ball in the second half of the game. Most importantly, he caught a nine-yard touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter to help push the team…read more

Big game against Titans
Kirk recorded six receptions on eight targets for 88 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 20-16 win over the Titans.
Analysis: Kirk entered Saturday's game having been held under 50 receiving yards in four of his last six games, though he delivered with the AFC South title on the line. He got the Jaguars on the board with a 25-yard touchdown reception late in the second quarter, and he accounted for the team's longest play from scrimmage on a 33-yard catch midway through the third quarter. Quiet in blowout victory
Kirk caught two passes for 21 yards on three targets against Houston on Sunday.
Analysis: Kirk might have seen more activity in a more competitive game, but it was still disappointing that he drew only three of 21 targets in this setting. It's possible that the Texans made it a point to scheme against Kirk and tight end Evan Engram, leaving the normally quiet Marvin Jones open for six catches on seven targets, but the Jaguars need Kirk rather than Jones to step up if they're going to beat the Titans for the AFC South title in Week 18.

Three catches in Week 16 win
Kirk secured three of six targets for 22 yards in the Jaguars' 19-3 win over the Jets on Thursday night. He also rushed once for four yards.
Analysis: Kirk tied with Travis Etienne and Marvin Jones for second on the team in catches and was also the runner-up in targets. The talented offseason addition typically plays a much larger role, but Trevor Lawrence distributed the ball to more pass catchers than usual Thursday. Kirk's yardage total was his lowest since Week 5, a matter he'll look to rectify in a Week 17 road matchup against the Texans a week from Sunday.

Records 92 yards
Kirk recorded six receptions on 10 targets for 92 yards in Sunday's 40-34 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Kirk continued enjoying a high level of involvement in the Jaguars' offense, and he now has at least seven targets in eight consecutive games. He also ripped off long gains of 33, 27 and 15 yards to help him record 9.0 yards per target. With performance, Kirk now has at least 90 receiving yards in three of his last five games, though his effort Sunday was overshadowed by a three-touchdown eruption from Zay Jones.

Overshadowed in blowout win
Kirk recorded five receptions on seven targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 36-22 win over the Titans.
Analysis: Kirk maintained a regular role in Jacksonville's offense, though he saw fewer targets than both Evan Engram and Zay Jones. His most notable contribution came on a 23-yard reception during a two-minute drill just before halftime. Kirk has seen at least seven targets in seven consecutive games, but he's now gained fewer than 50 yards in three of those contests.

Gets over 100-yard mark in loss
Kirk brought in six of eight targets for 104 yards in the Jaguars' 40-14 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Analysis: The veteran wideout paced the Jaguars in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon, but he was about the only bright spot for Jacksonville's lackluster offense. Kirk now has a pair of 100-yard efforts in the last three games heading into a Week 14 road matchup against the Titans.

Shut down by Baltimore
Kirk recorded four receptions on nine targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 28-27 win over Baltimore. He added one rush for minus-five yards.
Analysis: Kirk remained heavily involved in the offense, though he turned in one of his more inefficient performances of the season. Despite managing receptions of 17, 16 and 11 yards, Kirk averaged only 5.1 yards per target due to a 44 percent catch rate. While it was a down performance, Kirk's outlook should significantly improve for a Week 13 matchup against the Lions.

Multi-TD showing in loss
Kirk brought in nine of 12 targets for 105 yards and two touchdowns in the Jaguars' 27-17 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
Analysis: Kirk led the Jaguars in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon while also recording both of the team's touchdowns. The talented offseason acquisition secured three- and 19-yard scoring grabs in the second and fourth quarter, respectively, giving him a career-high seven touchdown receptions in 10 games. Very efficient against Raiders
Kirk recorded eight receptions on nine targets for 76 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Raiders.
Analysis: Kirk maintained a heavy role in the Jaguars' offense and led the team in targets, receptions and yards. He worked primarily in the short areas of the field, though he did manage to tally a 23-yard reception. Kirk also hauled in his fifth touchdown of the season on a seven-yard reception early in the third quarter. Kirk recorded three receptions on seven targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Broncos.
Analysis: Kirk led the Jaguars in targets but was held in check by the elite Broncos secondary. He still managed a couple big plays, highlighted by a 25-yard catch midway through the fourth quarter that was the key play on a touchdown drive. After a hot start to the season, Kirk now has 40 or fewer receiving yards in three of his last four games.

Tops 100 scrimmage yards in loss
Kirk caught seven of 10 targets for 96 yards, rushed once for five yards and threw an incomplete pass in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Giants.
Analysis: Jacksonville continued to get Kirk involved frequently, as he was targeted nine-plus times for the fourth time in seven games in addition to getting the ball in a couple of less conventional ways. Kirk's yardage total was his highest since a 117-yard Week 1 performance in the wide receiver's Jaguars debut, but replicating this effort won't be easy in Week 8 against shutdown cornerback Patrick Surtain and the Broncos.

Salvages day with late TD
Kirk brought in four of five targets for 24 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' 34-27 loss to the Colts on Sunday. He also rushed once for four yards and lost and recovered a fumble apiece.
Analysis: Kirk's final line underscores how difficult production was to come by against a standout Colts defense, but he did reward fantasy managers with a four-yard scoring grab with 2:44 remaining. The offseason addition had a hot start to the season in the form of a 20-327-3 line over his first four games, but he's generated just 35 receiving yards on six catches, albeit with Sunday's score, in his last two. Disappears in losing effort

Analysis: Kirk was already coming off of his worst game of the season last week (two catches for 60 yards), and Sunday's dud set the bar even lower. The three targets are alarming, as last week's two-catch performance came on nine targets. Grabs TD in big win
Kirk caught six of nine targets for 72 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Chargers.
Analysis: His four-yard TD catch from Trevor Lawrence late in the third quarter all but put the game on ice. It was Kirk's third score in his first three games as a Jaguar, and he's quickly proving his breakout 2021 campaign in Arizona was no fluke. Kirk caught all six of his targets for 78 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 24-0 win over the Colts.
Analysis: Kirk didn't replicate the volume from his spectacular Week 1 performance, but he still turned in an impressive showing. He found the end zone on receptions of 10 and five yards while also chipping in lengthier gains of 26 and 21 yards in between. It's still early, but Kirk appears to be in line for a breakout season as he has tallied 12 receptions for 195 yards and two touchdowns in his first two games with Jacksonville.

Analysis: Kirk hit the ground running with his new club, leading Jacksonville in every receiving category Sunday. It's a microcosm of Kirk's broader 2021 season -- he was almost automatic in terms of efficiency, catching 74.8 percent of his targets at 9.5 yards per target, but a limited snap count and modest target rate held him to just 77 receptions for 982 yards and five…read more

Garners nine targets in Week 16
Kirk caught seven of nine passes for 48 yards during Saturday's 22-16 defeat to the Colts.
Analysis: With DeAndre Hopkins (knee) beginning a lengthy absence following Week 14, Kirk has benefitted on the target front, seeing his biggest counts in the category of the campaign over the last two contests. Overall, Kirk put up a 16-142-1 line on 21 targets in that span, while tight end Zach Ertz managed 14-145-0 on 24 targets. Kirk actually paced the team in targets, and eight different players recorded one or two receptions, but only DeAndre Hopkins and James Conner were able to take advantage with TDs. He's looked like a steadier performer, albeit over a modest sample, thus far this season now that he's no longer a starter and likely facing a lower quality of cornerback on many of his routes. Scores twice in Week 1
Kirk caught five receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns on five targets at Tennessee on Sunday.
Analysis: Kirk was automatic Sunday in what was one of his best games as a pro, and it's possible that he'll continue to benefit from running routes more often in the slot than he did in prior years. He'll need to draw more targets to stay consistently viable as a fantasy wideout, however, because a 100 percent catch rate at 14 yards per target obviously isn't sustainable. Kirk and fellow wideout Rondale Moore (four catches for 68 yards on five targets) might have a case for taking targets from A.J.…read more

Preseason Week 3 canceled
In a statement released by the Saints on Friday, it was announced that Saturday's scheduled preseason game between Kirk and the Cardinals at New Orleans has been canceled due to the impending impact of Hurricane Ida in the Gulf Coast region.
Analysis: The contest previously was scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. ET but was moved up seven hours, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. In the meantime, however, a decision has been made to cancel the Cardinals' exhibition finale. The team is next slated to travel to Tennessee for Week 1 of the regular season.

Game moved up
Kirk and the Cardinals are now scheduled to play the Saints at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday for their final game of the preseason, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: The game has been moved back seven hours to avoid a possible hurricane headed toward New Orleans. The Cardinals are expected to rest Kyler Murray and other starters, but it's possible Kirk is among those who play, with rookie second-round pick Rondale Moore making his push for a top-three role. Kirk and A.J. Green both are in danger of losing snaps, if not their starting jobs, depending on their own performance and Moore's.

Looks healthy Friday
Kirk caught his only target for a 34-yard gain in Friday's preseason win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: The fourth-yard receiver missed practice time earlier in the month due to an undisclosed injury, but Kirk was in the starting lineup Friday and was on the other end of a big Colt McCoy pass during the Cards' second possession. Kirk is being pushed for the No. 3 spot on the depth chart by rookie Rondale Moore, but DeAndre Hopkins (undisclosed) and A.J. Green (undisclosed) are expected to be the focus of the passing game for Arizona during the regular season.

Limited in return to practice
Kirk (undisclosed) was limited Thursday in his return to practice and may not get back to full participation until next week, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: His return after only a few days, even in a limited capacity, suggests the undisclosed injury isn't serious. Kirk at least seems to be a bit healthier than fellow Cardinals receivers A.J. Green and Rondale Moore, with the former missing Thursday's practice and the latter leaving it early.

Returns to practice
Kirk (undisclosed) is returning to practice Thursday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Kirk has been out since the weekend with a minor, undisclosed injury. A few missed days shouldn't make much difference as he enters his third season in coach Kliff Kingsbury's system, though Kirk presumably is preparing for more slot work after the Cardinals signed A.J. Green (undisclosed) in the offseason. Green is now the one missing practice with a minor injury.

Kirk (undisclosed) is expected to miss a few more practices beyond Tuesday, Bob McManaman of The Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: Coach Kliff Kingsbury didn't disclose the location of Kirk's injury but did say he expects the wide receiver to rejoin practice soon, per Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com. The 24-year-old figures to play more slot in the fourth and final season of his rookie contract, after the Cardinals signed 33-year-old A.J. Green in March.

Kirk is absent from practice for a second straight day Tuesday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Kirk is not participating in Monday's practice, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Facing competition for playing time
The Cardinals' pecking order at wide receiver appears wide open after DeAndre Hopkins, with Kirk, A.J. Green, Rondale Moore, Andy Isabella and KeeSean Johnson all in the mix to earn roles, NFL.com's Adam Maya reports.
Analysis: The Green signing hints at Kirk getting more slot work, especially if Larry Fitzgerald remains a free agent or signs with a new team. A move inside could reinvigorate Kirk's career, but there will also be more competition for playing time if he struggles this summer. The 2018 second-round pick has missed multiple games each year in the NFL, and he's yet to top 709 receiving yards in a season. Comes off COVID-19 list
The Cardinals activated Kirk (undisclosed) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis: Kirk previously missed Arizona's loss to the Rams in Week 17 due to his placement on the list. The Cardinals didn't earn a postseason berth, but Kirk will now be free to return to team facilities for meetings and offseason workouts. Over 14 regular-season games in 2020, Kirk secured 48 of 79 targets for 621 yards and six touchdowns.

Kirk was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday and won't play in Sunday's game against the Rams.
Analysis: It's unclear whether Kirk tested the positive or was deemed a high-risk close contact. This is a major loss for the Cardinals as they look to keep their playoff hopes alive. Larry Fitzgerald (groin) is also questionable and trending toward a game-time decision. KeeSean Johnson, Trent Sherfield and Andy Isabella could all see increased usage in the season finale.

Notches season high in receptions
Kirk caught seven of 10 targets for 76 yards during Saturday's 20-12 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Kirk led the team in receiving yardage while notching a new season high in receptions. He ripped off a 38-yard gain, which was his longest in seven games, and was unfortunate to miss out on a poorly thrown end-zone target in the fourth quarter. Kirk had totaled just 68 yards on 10 receptions over the last four games, so this performance was surely a welcome sight for the Cardinals. His productivity should be crucial in next Sunday's matchup with the Rams.

Analysis: After DeAndre Hopkins' 11 targets, Kyler Murray wasn't afraid to use any and all Cardinals skill-position player, with five of them seeing at least three targets and nine total getting looked at one or more times by the QB. Analysis: Kirk could have salvaged his day by getting over the goal line on his first catch, but he was tackled at the one-yard line. The third-year man out of Texas A&M has all but disappeared from Arizona's offense following a stretch of five touchdowns in three games, totaling 15 catches for 112 yards without a touchdown over the five subsequent contests. Remains quiet Sunday
Kirk gathered in one of three targets for two yards during Sunday's 38-28 defeat to the Rams.
Analysis: Since he put up 246 yards and five TDs in three games between Weeks 6 and 9, Kirk hasn't surpassed 50 yards or reached the end zone in any of the last four contests. In fact, his receiving line during that span is a pitiful 12-98-0 on 21 targets. Kirk continues to draw a significant snap count on a weekly basis and even received his largest share of the season Sunday (94 percent). Kirk caught three of six targets for 19 yards and added a carry for no gain in Sunday's 20-17 loss to New England.
Analysis: Kirk dropped a ball in the end zone late in the first half, and that proved to be a crucial mistake as the Cardinals were stopped on 4th-and-goal two plays later. The feast-or-famine wide receiver has mustered just 96 yards without a touchdown over the past three weeks following a torrid stretch that included five touchdowns over the previous three games. Kirk brought in four of six targets for 50 yards and returned two punts for eight yards in the Cardinals' 28-21 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night.
Analysis: Kirk checked in third in receptions, receiving yardage and targets behind position mates Larry Fitzgerald and DeAndre Hopkins. The 24-year-old has found true standout production from a reception and receiving yardage standpoint hard to come by with the arrival of Hopkins this offseason, but Kirk has often made up for it with a knack for the end zone that's led to him scoring a career-high six touchdowns. Analysis: Kirk shined in the national spotlight for the second consecutive game, hitting pay dirt twice after pulling off the same feat on Monday Night Football against the Cowboys last week. The recent explosion of touchdowns for the third-year man came out of left field, as he averaged just three scores each of his previous two seasons. Kirk caught five of seven targets for 78 yards in Sunday's 30-10 win over the Jets.
Analysis: The third-year receiver came into Sunday with only 76 receiving yards through three games, in part due to a groin strain. Analysis: The 23-year-old and fellow wideout DeAndre Hopkins (ankle) were both labeled game-time decisions by coach Kliff Kingsbury on Friday, but both players are apparently expected to play against the Panthers. Kirk, on the other hand, managed limited practices Wednesday through Friday, leading to a 'questionable' tag on the final injury report. Dealing with groin injury
Kirk didn't practice Wednesday due to a groin injury.
Analysis: Kirk has got off to a slow start this season, hauling in a 49-yard catch and otherwise totaling 11 yards on his three other touches through two games. His offensive snap count decreased from 77 percent Week 1 to 61 percent this past Sunday against Washington. Otherwise, Kirk has been relatively quiet this season, accounting for 11 yards from scrimmage on three touches. Analysis: Following the arrival of DeAndre Hopkins in the offseason, Kirk was bumped down the depth chart, but one could argue that the attention the former brings would open up opportunities for the latter. Instead, Kyler Murray targeted Hopkins 16 times, more than tripling Kirk's mark. Expected to challenge 1,000 yards
Quarterback Kyler Murray believes each of Kirk, DeAndre Hopkins and Larry Fitzgerald can record 1,000 receiving yards in 2020, Cameron La Fontaine of 12 News KPNX reports. "Yeah for sure, I definitely think that's possible," Murray said.
Analysis: One could argue that the addition of DeAndre Hopkins will decrease the target shares of the other receiving options in the Cardinals offense after he averaged 159.5 targets per season over the last six years for the Texans. On the other hand, Hopkins draws so much defensive attention that he inevitably will open things up for the likes of Kirk, Fitzgerald and Kenyan Drake. Will avoid offseason surgery
Kirk admitted that the ankle injury he sustained Week 4 troubled him in the second half of the season, but the wideout said he won't require surgery during the offseason, Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' official site reports. "It's not a fun deal, but I didn't want to miss any more games," Kirk said, who sat out three contests before returning to action Week 8. "If I can get out there and contribute and help the team, I'm going to do it. But to get to the offseason and get healthy and get [the ankle] 100 percent, I can't wait to get it right."
Analysis: Kirk said the ankle in question was "rolled up on" several times after he returned from the three-game absence, but he still finished with 68 receptions for 709 yards and three touchdowns, falling just short of beating out Larry Fitzgerald (75-804-4) for top honors in all categories among Arizona receivers. Kirk failed to catch any of his five targets and gained nine yards on two carries in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Seahawks.
Analysis: While his target volume remained steady from the prior week, inconsistent quarterbacking from Kyler Murray (hamstring) and backup Brett Hundley conspired to give Kirk a goose egg in catches. Status in question for Week 16
Kirk (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest at Seattle.
Analysis: An ankle issue has followed Kirk since he sustained the injury Week 4 against the Seahawks. This week, he was held out of practice Wednesday before wrapping it up with back-to-back limited showings. While coach Kliff Kingsbury considers Kirk a "game-day decision" -- per Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site -- it wouldn't surprise if Kirk continues to tough it out Sunday, which will be determined about 90 minutes before the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

Will be 'game-day decision'
Coach Kliff Kingsbury termed Kirk (ankle) a game-day decision for Sunday's game at Seattle, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: The Cardinals kept Kirk off the practice field entirely Wednesday before tabbing him as a limited participant on Thursday's injury report. An ankle issue was the culprit and likely is the same one that forced Kirk to miss three games earlier this season. If he's eventually deemed inactive about 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, Arizona will rely on Larry Fitzgerald, Pharoh Cooper and perhaps rookie Andy Isabella to man the inside receiver positions in this offense.

Back in the fold Thursday, he's on the right path to rid himself of the injury by the end of the week. Finishes with four grabs
Kirk caught four of five targets for 33 yards and rushed once for 28 yards in Sunday's 38-24 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Kirk was pretty much held in check in the passing game, where he trailed Damiere Byrd and Larry Fitzgerald in yards, but he at least salvaged some production with a career-long rush. The second-year pro also caught at least four passes for the ninth time in 11 appearances this season. He was shaken up at one point during the game, but ended up finishing the contest. Kirk will aim for a better overall outing in Week 16 versus the Seahawks.

Ready to face Cleveland
Kirk (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Browns, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Kirk was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday before upgrading to full participation Friday. He should be fine to handle his usual role as Kyler Murray's top pass-catching weapon, coming off last week's 8-85-0 receiving line on a 97 percent snap share in a 23-17 loss to Pittsburgh. The Browns have been a tough opponent for wide receivers, limiting the position to a 59.5 percent catch rate (ninth) and 7.7 yards per target (eighth).

Remains limited Thursday
Kirk (ankle) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Kirk is dealing with an ankle injury this week, which may merely be a maintenance-related decision after he sat out Weeks 5 through 7 with a similar issue. Assuming he gets the all-clear by week's end -- or as late as 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff -- he'll be looking to take advantage of a Browns defense that has given up 7.7 yards per target and 11 touchdowns to wide receivers in 13 games in 2019.

Gets 'limited' tag Wednesday
Kirk was limited at practice Wednesday due to an ankle issue.
Analysis: Kirk was sidelined Weeks 5, 6 and 7 due to an ankle injury, which appears to be affecting him yet again. Nevertheless, the second-year wideout was able to handle some reps Wednesday, so he's putting himself in a position to be available Sunday against the Browns, when he'll look to take advantage of the 8.8 targets per game he's averaged for the season.

Bounces back with big Week 14
Kirk corralled eight of nine targets for 85 receiving yards and ran for four yards on his only rush attempt during Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: The second-year wideout got back on track Week 14 after managing nine combined receptions for 64 yards in his preceding two outings against the 49ers and Rams. Prior to the downtick in production between Weeks 11 and 13, Kirk had a breakout game Nov. 10 against Tampa Bay, exploding for 138 yards and three touchdowns -- his only three scores of the year thus far. A Week 15 matchup against Cleveland's top-six pass defense is less than favorable for Kirk's immediate outlook, especially given that…read more

Struggles against Rams
Kirk caught three of seven targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 34-7 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Despite tying Larry Fitzgerald for the team lead in targets, Kirk wound up posting his second-lowest yardage total of the year. It's the third time in the last four games he's averaged less than 5.0 yards per target, a poor showing for a player with his big-play potential, and he may not have much more success in next week's tilt against the Steelers.

Notches six more catches
Kirk corralled six of nine passes for 41 yards and had a one-yard rush during Sunday's 36-26 loss at San Francisco.
Analysis: Kirk led all Cardinals wideouts in offensive snap share, missing just one of 69 plays. He also paced the team in targets and receiving yards while matching Kenyan Drake's six receptions. With eight appearances under his belt this season, Kirk's stat line prorates to 92-1,016-6 over a full 16-game schedule, making him a must-start on a weekly basis, even if the Cardinals' passing attack isn't exactly clicking in every outing.

Snaps touchdown drought in loss
Kirk secured six of 10 targets for 138 yards and three touchdowns in the Cardinals' 30-27 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: Kirk put a touchdown drought that dated back to Week 11 of last season to rest in spectacular fashion, scoring from 33, 69 and 15 yards out in the second, third and fourth quarters, respectively. The final touchdown gave the Cardinals a 27-23 lead midway through the fourth quarter, but Jameis Winston ultimately would lead a six-play, 92-yard game-winning drive for the Buccaneers. Kirk's receiving yardage total also was a career high and served as the second 100-yard game of his career overall.…read more

Has quiet Week 9 outing
Kirk corralled two of five targets for eight yards and posted an eight-yard carry during Thursday's 28-25 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Kirk led all Cardinals wide receivers in both targets and offensive snaps (55 of 57), but the usage didn't translate to the box score. Granted, Kyler Murray attempted just 24 passes, and seven of Kirk's teammates also tallied at least one catch. Additionally, Kirk may have been impacted by playing two games in the span of five days after sitting out three weeks due to an ankle injury. In any case, he'll have plenty of time to rest up for the Cardinals' next contest on Sunday, Nov. 10 at Tampa…read more
