Moves to IR
The Jets placed Zuerlein (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday.
Analysis: Zuerlein, who has made nine of his 15 field-goal attempts through eight contests to date, will thus be sidelined until at least Week 14. The Jets signed Spencer Shrader and Riley Patterson to their practice squad Wednesday, and one of the two will presumably be elevated in advance of Thursday's game against the Texans to handle kicking duties in Zuerlein's stead.

Dealing with left knee injury
Zuerlein was listed as a limited practice participant on Tuesday's estimated injury report with a left knee injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Zuerlein wasn't listed on Monday's injury report, but the embattled kicker appears to be dealing with a left knee injury that could affect his availability for Thursday's game against the Texans. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported that the Jets hosted six kickers for a workout Tuesday, and if the team elects to sign someone, it would be an indication that Zuerlein is unlikely to play Thursday. Dreadful season continues
Zuerlein made one of two field-goal attempts and one of two PAT attempts in Sunday's 25-22 loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: Zuerlein posted yet another subpar performance, failing to tie the game after the Jets' first-quarter touchdown and missing a 44-yard field-goal attempt in the fourth. This was the third loss for the 2-6 Jets in which Zuerlein's inaccuracy played a pivotal role. Even on a short week before Thursday's home game against the Texans, it wouldn't be surprising if the Jets looked for an alternative to Zuerlein, who has six misses on 15 field-goal attempts this season.

Misses keep piling up
Zuerlein missed his only field-goal attempt and made his only official PAT try in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: Zuerlein's 35-yard field-goal attempt in the third quarter was blocked, keeping the Jets' deficit at the time at eight points. He also had a PAT blocked, but that play was erased by a penalty on the Steelers, and the Jets subsequently opted to go for two. The Jets' margin for error is nearly nonexistent at 2-5, and Zuerlein's inaccuracy has been a major factor in two of those losses, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the Jets look for alternatives prior to a Week 8 trip to New England. Disastrous showing Monday
Zuerlein converted two of four field-goal attempts and both PAT tries in Monday's 23-20 loss to the Bills.
Analysis: For the second time in the last three weeks, a Jets loss can be pinned squarely on Greg's leg. After missing a go-ahead field-goal attempt in the final minute against the Broncos in Week 4, Zuerlein clanked two second-half go-ahead field-goal attempts off the upright Monday. It was a windy night at MetLife Stadium, but the misses came from 32 and 43 yards, while Zuerlein's makes from 34 and 22 were hardly impressive. Another light workload
Zuerlein connected on his only field-goal attempt and made both PAT tries in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Vikings.
Analysis: Zuerlein connected from 32 yards in the third quarter after the Jets forewent what would have been a 44-yard field-goal attempt in the second quarter in favor of a pitiful attempt to pick up fourth-and-2 on the ground. That decision proved costly, as it forced the Jets to go for a touchdown down by six on their final possession after once again working their way into field-goal range. Zuerlein has made multiple field goals only once through five games.

Critical miss leads to Week 4 loss
Zuerlein made three of four field-goal attempts in Sunday's 10-9 loss to the Broncos.
Analysis: Zuerlein scored all of the Jets' points in this one, but his makes from 23, 35 and 40 yards were overshadowed by his missed 50-yard field-goal attempt with 47 seconds remaining, which ended the Jets' hopes of improving to 3-1. Instead, the Jets are 2-2 and Zuerlein's just 5-for-7 on field-goal attempts heading into a Week 5 trip to London to face the Vikings.

Another low-volume game
Zuerlein made one of two field-goal attempts and all three PAT tries in Thursday's 24-3 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Zuerlein contributed only one of the NFL-record 73 field goals made in Week 2, and he converted just one yet again Thursday. The Jets have been efficient when they get into scoring range early this season, with nine touchdowns compared to only three field-goal attempts, and Zuerlein shanked a 45-yard attempt late in the first half Thursday before bouncing back with a 28-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

Just one FG through two games
Zuerlein made his only field-goal attempt from 33 yards and converted all three of his PAT tries in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Titans.
Analysis: Zuerlein got another relatively light workload, as he has attempted only one field goal through two games. Aaron Rodgers and the Jets' offense will look to heat up in Thursday's home opener against the Patriots and give Zuerlein more kicking opportunities.

No FG attempts Monday
Zuerlein made his lone PAT attempt and didn't attempt a field goal in Monday's 32-19 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Zuerlein's coming off a strong season in which he made 35 of 38 field-goal attempts, but the veteran kicker didn't get a chance to show off his big leg Monday as San Francisco dominated time of possession. Forced to play catch-up, the Jets went for two after two of their three touchdowns. Zuerlein will hope to get more opportunities in Week 2 against the Titans.

Re-signing with New York
Zuerlein is slated to sign a two-year, $8.4 million deal to remain with the Jets, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: In 16 regular-season games with New York in 2023, Zuerlein connected on 35 of his 38 field-goal attempts and 15 of his 16 extra-point tries en route to recording 120 points. Looking ahead, the 36-year-old's fantasy upside hinges on the performance of the Jets offense in 2024, The unit figures to be buoyed by the looming return to action of veteran franchise QB Aaron Rodgers (Achilles).

Hits three of four tries in snow
Zuerlein made three of four field-goal attempts in Sunday's 17-3 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: With heavy snow coming down, no kick was easy, so Zuerlein's performance was more than adequate in that context. He connected from 21, 40 and 33 yards but banged a 49-yard attempt off the upright. The miss was only Zuerlein's third on 38 field-goal attempts, and he made 15 of 16 PAT tries in 2023. The 36-year-old kicker will be a free agent this offseason, but the Jets will likely try to re-sign Zuerlein, who has spent the past two seasons with the team on one-year deals.

Makes two FGs, has one blocked
Zuerlein (quadriceps) made two of three field-goal attempts and both PAT tries in Thursday's 37-20 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Zuerlein connected from 46 yards and 44 yards but had a 31-yard attempt blocked in between. He came into the game nursing a quadriceps injury but played through it. Zuerlein's blocked field-goal attempt was just his second miss in 34 tries heading into the Week 18 season finale against the Patriots.

Will suit up Thursday night
Zuerlein (quadriceps) is active for Thursday's game against Cleveland.
Analysis: Zuerlein was deemed a 'DNP' on Tuesday and logged a limited listing Wednesday due to a right quad injury. His status for Thursday Night Football was in some question, but he'll be able to participate in the contest after all. An erratic Jets offense has made it difficult to predict Zuerlein's production of late -- he's made multiple field goals three times in his past four games but also has three games with zero field goals among his past six contests.

Zuerlein (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game at Cleveland.
Analysis: Zuerlein returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant after sitting out Tuesday's session, but his status for the Week 17 contest still appears to be up in the air. Per Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, the Jets signed Austin Seibert to their practice squad Wednesday as an insurance policy in the event Zuerlein can't play Thursday. The Jets would have to elevate Seibert to the roster no later than 4 p.m. ET on Thursday in order for him to be eligible to play against Cleveland.

Zuerlein is dealing with right quadricep soreness coming out of Sunday's 30-28 win over the Commanders and is uncertain to be available for Thursday's game against the Browns.
Analysis: If Zuerlein's leg was bothering him Sunday, it wasn't apparent in his performance. He converted all six of his attempts (three field goals and three extra points), including a game-winning field goal from 54 yards out with five seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Not full participant Monday
Zuerlein was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate due to a quadriceps injury, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: Zuerlein converted all three of his field-goal attempts and all three PAT attempts in Sunday's 30-28 win over the Commanders. This included his game-winning kick in the final seconds. However, he apparently came out of the game with a quadriceps issue as well. The veteran's status for Thursday's game against the Browns is now in question. Kicks game-winner in final seconds
Zuerlein made all three of his field-goal attempts and all three PAT attempts in Sunday's 30-28 win over the Commanders.
Analysis: Zuerlein was busy early, connecting on field goals of 25 and 27 yards along with three PATs as the Jets jumped out to a 27-7 halftime lead. His only kick of the second half was Zuerlein's hardest and most important, as it came from 54 yards away and put the Jets ahead 30-28 with five seconds left. Stapled to bench in shutout loss
Zuerlein didn't attempt a kick in Sunday's 30-0 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: After scoring 30 points in their previous game, the Jets were outscored by 30 in their first shutout loss of 2023, so Zuerlein didn't register an attempt. Starting quarterback Zach Wilson (concussion) left in the first half and was replaced by the ineffective Trevor Siemian. No FG attempts again
Zuerlein didn't attempt a field goal and converted one of two PATs in Friday's 34-13 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: After benching Zach Wilson in favor of Tim Boyle during the previous game, the Jets' struggling offense looked no better in Boyle's first start of 2023. At least Wilson usually got the team in field-goal range a few times per game; Boyle didn't lead the offense into Miami territory until the fourth quarter. Zero attempts in Week 11
Zuerlein didn't attempt a field goal or PAT in Sunday's 32-6 loss to the Bills.
Analysis: After accounting for all of the Jets' points over the previous two games with six field goals, Zuerlein didn't get off the bench in the team's Week 11 loss. New York's lone touchdown reduced the deficit to 16-6 in the second quarter, so the Jets went for two in hopes of making it a one-possession game. Zuerlein made both of his field-goal attempts and his only PAT try in Sunday's 13-10 overtime win over the Giants.
Analysis: The Jets' offense struggled to provide Zuerlein opportunities, but he made a pair of clutch short kicks down the stretch. Zuerlein converted all four of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's 20-14 win over the Eagles.
Analysis: New York's defense forced four turnovers, giving the offense numerous short fields, but it took until the game's final two minutes for the Jets to finally find the end zone. Prior to that point, Zuerlein accounted for the team's first 12 points with makes from 43, 42, 35 and 38 yards. Analysis: Zuerlein's availability will be confirmed approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, when the Jets release their inactive list. Seibert filled in last week for the veteran and made his only field-goal attempt in the Jets' blowout loss to the Cowboys.

Doesn't miss in loss
Zuerlein made his lone field-goal attempt from 26 yards out and added a successful PAT in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Bills.
Analysis: New York's other two points besides the touchdown and field goal came on a safety. Zuerlein has made 10 of 11 field-goal attempts over his last five games.

Spectacular in defeat
Zuerlein made all five field-goal attempts -- including a franchise record 60-yarder -- and his only PAT attempt in Sunday's 27-22 loss to Minnesota.
Analysis: Zuerlein delivered one of the best kicking performances of the season as the Mike White-led Jets offense moved the ball at will but consistently stalled in scoring range. The 34-year-old kicker made a 48-yard attempt in the first quarter, then connected from 60 in the final seconds of the first half. After halftime, Zuerlein added makes from 36, 30 and 26 yards.

One make, one miss from deep
Zuerlein connected on a 57-yard field goal but also missed a 53-yard attempt in Sunday's 31-10 win over the Bears. He made all four of his PAT attempts.
Analysis: Zuerlein showed off his impressive leg strength in the final minute of the first half, connecting from 57 yards out with plenty of height to spare while kicking through a steady rain. Given the conditions, his miss from 53 with the game well in hand in the fourth was forgivable. Prior to Zuerlein's first official attempt, he lined up for a 36-yard field goal, but punter Braden Mann fumbled on the hold and threw the ball away for an incomplete pass. Nails tough field goal
Zuerlein connected on his lone field-goal attempt from 45 yards out in Sunday's 10-3 loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: Zuerlein's game-tying kick in the second quarter was originally from 40 yards. He aimed it outside the upright, but the strong crosswind blew it in between the goal posts. Unfortunately for Zuerlein, the Jets were whistled for delay of game on the play, but the veteran kicker executed the same plan from 45 yards out to provide New York's only points of the afternoon. Zuerlein's likely to be busier in Week 12, when the 6-4 Jets host the 3-8 Bears.

Kicks game-winner against Bills
Zuerlein made both of his field-goal attempts and converted both PAT tries in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Bills.
Analysis: Zuerlein's 53-yard field goal in the first quarter found a way to knuckle in despite some windy conditions at MetLife Stadium. His 28-yard attempt with less than two minutes remaining in the fourth was less adventurous but just as significant, as that kick broke a 17-17 tie before a defensive stand on Buffalo's ensuing possession clinched the victory for the Jets.

Misses FG in Week 8 loss
Zuerlein made one of two field-goal attempts and converted both PAT attempts in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: With the Jets reeling after having a pick-six erased by a penalty, Zuerlein had a chance to stem the bleeding with a game-tying 45-yard field goal, but he instead added to the Patriots' momentum by missing. That miss overshadowed Zuerlein's successful 28-yard field goal in the first quarter. He has missed three field goals and one PAT through eight games for New York.

Perfect at altitude
Zuerlein connected on all three of his field-goal attempts and made his only PAT try in Sunday's 16-9 win over the Broncos.
Analysis: With a long of 45 yards, Zuerlein didn't need any help from the altitude in Denver, but he did well to navigate windy conditions better than the Broncos' Brandon McManus, who missed a field goal and a PAT. All told, Zuerlein has made all but two of his 15 field-goal attempts and 16 of 17 PAT attempts for the 5-2 Jets.

Hits two of three in rain
Zuerlein made two of three field-goal attempts and all three of his PAT attempts in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Packers.
Analysis: Zuerlein sandwiched a miss from 53 yards out between makes from 32 and 23 in rainy conditions at Lambeau Field. Considering the Packers had a field goal blocked and each team blocked or deflected a punt, Zuerlein's ability to reliably make chip shots proved crucial in the Jets' well-rounded win.

Makes six kicks in TD-fest
Zuerlein made his only field-goal attempt from 34 yards out and all five of his PAT tries in Sunday's 40-17 win over the Dolphins.
Analysis: The Jets only settled for one field goal as Miami struggled to stop the run in close, allowing five rushing touchdowns to New York. Since starting quarterback Zach Wilson returned from a preseason knee injury, New York has gone 2-0 while scoring 32.0 points per game. Zuerlein has made both his field-goal attempts and eight PATs over that span.

Accurate since shaky debut
Zuerlein made his only field-goal attempt and all three of his PAT attempts in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Steelers.
Analysis: Zuerlein has made all six of his field-goal attempts and all seven PAT tries over the past three games following a rocky Jets debut in which he missed one of each. New York continued to move the ball reasonably well in quarterback Zach Wilson's (knee) season debut, so fantasy managers who had been relying on Zuerlein with Joe Flacco leading New York's offense should feel comfortable continuing to do so with Wilson under center.

Busy and effective in Week 3
Zuerlein made all four of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's 27-12 loss to Cincinnati.
Analysis: New York moved the ball well but couldn't get into the end zone, settling for field goals of 50, 40, 52 and 43 yards. If Zuerlein can continue to convert reliably from 50-plus yards, he should have some sneaky fantasy value on a Jets offense with enough playmakers to get into scoring range.

Nails 57-yarder in win
Zuerlein made his only field-goal attempt from 57 yards and converted all four of his PAT tries in Sunday's 31-30 win over Cleveland.
Analysis: A questionable holding penalty on the final play of the third quarter backed the Jets up to the edge of field-goal range, but Zuerlein hit the game-tying field goal from 57 yards in the first minute of the fourth. He also made every PAT, which proved crucial in a game the Jets won by one point thanks in part to a missed Browns PAT. After a shaky New York debut, Zuerlein earned himself some more job security with this outing.

Misses first kick as Jet
Zuerlein made one of two field-goal attempts and missed his only PAT try in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: After the Ravens took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter, Zuerlein had a chance to tie the game early in the second from 45 yards out. He missed it, and the Jets never recovered. Zuerlein later connected from the same distance just before halftime but failed to convert a PAT in the fourth quarter to add to his inauspicious debut. While he probably won't be on the hot seat after just one week, Zuerlein's job security is quickly diminishing.

Nails 49-yarder
Zuerlein made his only field-goal attempt from 49 yards and converted all four of his PAT attempts in Sunday's 31-27 preseason win over the Giants.
Analysis: Zuerlein showed off the mix of accuracy and power that helped him beat out Eddy Pineiro in New York's training camp kicking competition. The veteran kicker could be busy in 2022 on a Jets offense with enough weapons to move the ball but a lack of established red-zone producers to finish off drives.

Wins kicking battle
Zuerlein is the lone kicker on the Jets roster with the team releasing Eddy Pineiro on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Zuerlein was the favorite heading into camp, and he ultimately won the job. He still has a strong leg, but the volume he saw in past seasons with the Rams and Cowboys may be a thing of the past. Zuerlein will be among the many Jets whose value depends on improvement from second-year quarterback Zach Wilson, who likely will miss the start of the season after having meniscus surgery in mid-August.

Zuerlein remains the favorite to be the starting kicker for the Jets in 2022, Billy Riccette of USA Today reports.
Analysis: Zuerlein continues to have the edge over Eddy Pineiro in the Jets' kicking battle as the preseason heads into its final week. The 34-year-old Zuerlein signed a deal with the team in March after he went 29-for-35 on field goals last season with the Cowboys.

Favorite to win kicking battle
Zuerlein (toe) is considered to have an early leg up over Eddy Pineiro for the Jets' starting kicker job, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Zuerlein missed Wednesday's practice with a sore toe, but he is not expected to miss much time due to this issue. The 34-year-old went 4-for-4 on field-goal attempts during practice Monday, and his longevity should give him a distinct advantage in the job battle.

Zuerlein signed a contract with the Jets on Saturday.
Analysis: Zuerlein knocked home 29 of his 35 field-goal attempts for the Cowboys last season, but Dallas elected to release the veteran earlier this month. Zuerlein may not have a completely clear path to the kicking job after Eddy Pineiro connected on all 17 of his kicks over his five games for the Jets last year, but the former should have a decent shot.

Shanks PAT in win
Zuerlein converted his only field-goal attempt and six of seven extra points in Saturday's win over the Eagles.
Analysis: The veteran kicker saw more than enough volume to still have a productive week from a fantasy perspective, but he still missed a kick for the third time in the last four weeks. Zuerlein wraps up the regular season having gone 29-for-35 on FGs (82.9 percent) and 42-for-48 on PATs (87.5 percent), leaving him 12th in the league in total scoring with 129 points, but his inconsistency is a concern for the Cowboys heading into the playoffs.

Misses crucial FG in loss
Zuerlein missed his only field-goal attempt and converted both his extra points in Sunday's 25-22 loss to the Cardinals.
Analysis: He hooked a 43-yard attempt wide to the left midway through the first quarter, a miss that wound up being the margin of victory for Arizona after Dak Prescott led a fourth-quarter rally for Dallas. Zuerlein has missed 11 kicks in total this year -- six field goals and five extra points -- and it wouldn't be surprising if the team moved on from the veteran in the offseason.

Zuerlein didn't get a field-goal attempt and connected on all eight of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's 56-14 win over Washington.
Analysis: With the Dallas offense finding itself again in Week 16, Zuerlein did not get an opportunity to attempt any field goals in the contest. The veteran kicker was perfect on his extra-point attempts, scoring eight of the team's 56 points in the blowout win. Rough day Sunday
Zuerlein connected on all three of his field-goal attempts but missed both his extra points in Sunday's win over the Giants.
Analysis: The missed PATs didn't matter in a 21-6 victory, but it continued a pattern of erratic performances for Zuerlein that has left him with an 83.9 percent (26-for-31) success rate on extra points this season and an 84.8 percent mark (28-for-33) on field goals. While the veteran kicker has one more year left on his current contract, don't be surprised if Dallas looks for a replacement in the offseason.

Analysis: The veteran kicker has been perfect the last two weeks after missing a FG and a PAT in a loss to the Raiders on Thanksgiving. Zuerlein missed one of three field-goal attempts and one of two extra-point tries in Week 12's 36-33 overtime loss to the Raiders.
Analysis: Zuerlein went wide left on his first PAT, then hit the left upright with a 59-yard field-goal attempt in the second quarter. Accounts for only offense in loss
Zuerlein connected on all three of his field goal attempts in Sunday's 19-9 loss to Kansas City.
Analysis: The three successful FGs tied Zuerlein's season high as he made his return from the COVID-19 list, but he failed to see a PAT for the second straight contest as he missed the Week 10 big win over Atlanta. The veteran kicker could struggle to get consistent opportunities again in a Thanksgiving Day clash against the Raiders with Amari Cooper (COVID-19) already ruled out and CeeDee Lamb (concussion), Ezekiel Elliott (knee) and Tyron Smith (ankle) all iffy for the Dallas offense.

Shut out in Sunday's loss
Zuerlein failed to get a field goal or PAT opportunity in Sunday's loss to the Broncos.
Analysis: Nothing better reflected the Cowboys' awful performance on offense than the fact their kicker got blanked -- by the time Dallas scored its first TD of the game inside the final five minutes of the fourth quarter, Denver had a 30-0 lead and the Cowboys went for two-pointers. Zeurlein (back) was activated from the PUP list Wednesday and should play in Sunday's preseason game against the Jaguars, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: This is the second time Zuerlein has spent an offseason rehabbing from back surgery. However, the 33-year-old has played 16 games in back-to-back seasons, and he could reclaim his past status as a top-five fantasy kicker if the Cowboys offense picks up where it left off before Dak Prescott (leg) suffered a season-ending injury last year. Zuerlein is the only kicker on the Cowboys'…read more

Bounces back with Dallas
Zuerlein connected on 34 of 41 field-goal attempts and 33 of 36 extra points over 16 games for the Cowboys in 2020.
Analysis: In his first season for a team other than the Rams, the veteran kicker rebounded from a rough 2019, setting a new career high with 41 FG attempts while converting them at better than 80 percent for the fourth time in the last five years. Zuerlein has two more seasons left on the contract he signed last offseason, and he's given Dallas little reason to go looking for a replacement.

Perfect afternoon in big win
Zuerlein connected on all three of his field-goal attempts and all four of his extra-point tries in Sunday's win over the Eagles.
Analysis: The veteran kicker has delivered double-digit points in three straight games, something he'd done only three times in his first 11 games as a Cowboy. Zuerlein will try to stay locked in and help kick Dallas to a possible division title in Week 17 against the Giants.

Big day in wild win
Zuerlein converted two of his three field-goal attempts and all five of his extra points in Sunday's 41-33 win over the 49ers.
Analysis: His 60-yard attempt at the end of the first half drifted wide right, but otherwise Zuerlein took full advantage of his largest volume of the season, as the Cowboys scored 40 or more points for the first time since Dak Prescott (ankle) got hurt. The veteran kicker has seen at least three FG attempts in four straight games and six of the last seven, giving him significant upside in Week 16's clash with the Eagles.

Perfect day against Cincy
Zuerlein converted all three of his field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point tries in Sunday's win over the Bengals.
Analysis: Three early Cincy fumbles gave the Cowboys plenty of extra possessions, and after a rough night in Baltimore last week, Zuerlein didn't waste any of his opportunities this time around. He's kicked at least three FGs in four of the last six games, and he could be busy again in Week 15's clash with the 49ers.

Awful night in Baltimore
Zuerlein missed three of his four field-goal attempts and connected on both his extra points in Tuesday's loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: The nine points he left on the table didn't ultimately matter in a 34-17 defeat, but it was still a dreadful performance from the veteran kicker. Zuerlein missed from 40, 53 and 52 yards on three straight attempts, but it may have just been one of those nights in Baltimore, as even the normally ultra-reliable Justin Tucker missed a 36-yarder. The Dallas offense has been handing him plenty of opportunities lately -- Zuerlein's attempted at least three FGs in four of the last five games -- but…read more

Perfect in Thanksgiving loss
Zuerlein connected on all three of his field-goal attempts and his only PAT in Thursday's loss to Washington.
Analysis: The Cowboys' offense stalled repeatedly in the red zone thanks in large part to Washington's pass rush, and Zuerlein's longest field goal of the afternoon went for only 33 yards. The team's Week 13 matchup could feature more of the same on the road against the Ravens, potentially making the veteran kicker a solid fantasy option even if Dallas struggles as a whole.

Active Thursday
Zuerlein (back) is active for Thursday's game against Washington.
Analysis: Zuerlein was limited in practice Monday through Wednesday, but a cloud remained over his head in advance of this contest. No matter, he's suiting up versus the Football Team's ninth-ranked scoring defense (22.7 points per game).

Questionable for Thursday
Zuerlein (back) is officially listed as questionable for Thursday's game against Washington, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: Zuerlein put together a trio of limited practices during the short week, and coach Mike McCarthy has said that he doesn't expect the kicker to miss the Thanksgiving Day game. The Cowboys also haven't made a move to sign another kicker to the practice squad for emergency depth, which seemingly reinforces the notion that Zuerlein will be good to go for Week 12.

Listed as limited in practice
The Cowboys listed Zuerlein (back) as a limited practice participant on Tuesday's estimated report, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Zuerlein has now been listed as limited on both of the Cowboys' first two Week 12 injury reports, but coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that he doesn't think the kicker is in any real danger of missing the team's Thanksgiving Day matchup with Washington, according to Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News. Dallas will unveil its final injury report of the week Wednesday, at which point it will be known whether Zuerlein carries a designation into the contest.

Likely to play Thursday
Coach Mike McCarthy believes Zuerlein (back) will be available Thursday against Washington, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. "He looks to be OK. He was here today," McCarthy said Monday. "I don't see him being in jeopardy of (not) playing on Thursday."
Analysis: Zuerlein tweaked his back during this past Sunday's win at Minnesota at the end of a kickoff. The injury caused the kicker to be listed as limited on Monday's estimated practice report, putting him on track to uphold McCarthy's prediction. Zuerlein will have two more chances to prove his health before the Cowboys either clear him or give him a designation for Week 12.

Battling back injury
Zuerlein (back) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Analysis: At this time, there's no real concern about Zuerlein's availability for Thursday's game against Washington. The Cowboys don't have a backup kicker on the active roster or the practice squad, so punter Hunter Niswander likely would take over the starting duties if Zuerlein did sit out.

Few opportunities in win
Zuerlein connected on a 19-yard field goal and converted two of three extra-point attempts in Sunday's win over the Vikings.
Analysis: His PAT on the first of four Dallas touchdowns on the day was blocked, which eventually cost Zuerlein two points as the Cowboys then went for a two-point conversion later in the game to make up for it. The veteran kicker has now missed three of 21 FG attempts and three of 20 extra points, and with the team's offense being just as erratic, Zuerlein remains a risky fantasy option heading into a Week 12 clash with Washington.

Knocks home five kicks
Zuerlein made all four field goals and his lone extra-point attempt in Sunday's 24-19 loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: Zuerlein drilled field goals from 38, 39, 44 and 45 yards to put together a solid day for fantasy managers and keep Dallas in an unexpectedly close game. After connecting on just seven field goals through the first six games, the veteran kicker has added seven more over the past two weeks as the offense has begun to move the ball a little better following the season-ending ankle injury to Dak Prescott, without becoming more efficient in the red zone. Shows off leg strength Sunday
Zuerlein connected on three of four field-goal attempts in Sunday's 23-9 loss to the Eagles.
Analysis: At the end of the first half, the veteran kicker reminded everyone why he was given the nickname Greg "the Leg," drilling a low, line-drive kick that cut through the wind at Lincoln Financial Field and cleared the uprights with room to spare for a 59-yard field goal. It's the first time since Week 3 that Zuerlein has booted multiple field goals in a game, but the Cowboys' sputtering offense may not provide him with many opportunities next week against the Steelers, even if Andy Dalton…read more

Supplies only Dallas offense Sunday
Zuerlein converted his only field-goal attempt in Sunday's 25-3 loss to Washington.
Analysis: The Dallas offense could get absolutely nothing going behind an injury-ravaged offensive line, especially after rookie seventh-round pick Ben DiNucci was forced into action for Andy Dalton (concussion). The outlook for the entire unit is bleak heading into the Week 8 road clash with the Eagles, and Zuerlein -- who hasn't kicked multiple field goals since Week 3 -- seems likely to get limited opportunities once again.

50 percent on field goals Monday
Zuerlein went 1-for-2 on field goals and converted one extra point Monday against the Cardinals.
Analysis: Zuerlein was able to knock through a 34-yard field-goal attempt but was wide right on a 58-yard attempt later in the contest. The veteran is now 9-for-11 on field-goal attempts this season, with both misses coming on kicks over 50 yards.

Boots another game-winner
Zuerlein was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals and 4-for-4 on PATs in Sunday's win over the Giants.
Analysis: With the Cowboys down 34-31, Zuerlein came through with FGs of 40 yards and 34 yards inside the final two minutes to secure the victory, the second time this season he's kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired. The Dallas offense as a whole will likely take a step backward with Andy Dalton replacing Dak Prescott (ankle) under center, but a less efficient aerial attack could mean more field-goal opportunities for Zuerlein.

Little work in loss
Zuerlein didn't attempt a field goal and connected on both his extra points in Sunday's 49-38 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: The kicker's lack of activity seems baffling given the final score, but with the Cowboys staring at a 41-14 deficit heading into the fourth quarter, they were forced to go for two-point conversions during their comeback attempt and leave Zuerlein cooling his heels on the sideline. He should get more opportunities in Week 5 against the Giants.

Struggles with PATs on Sunday
Zuerlein connected on both his field-goal attempts but only one of three extra points during Sunday's loss to the Seahawks.
Analysis: One of the PATs was blocked, but the other was purely a miss from Zuerlein, who went a perfect 42-for-42 on extra points with the Rams last year and has never missed more than two in an entire season during his career. He'll look to rebound in Week 4 against a Browns team that's given up nearly 30 points a game so far in 2020.

Boots game-winning FG in Week 2
Zuerlein connected on both his field-goal attempts and all four of his PATs in Sunday's comeback win over the Falcons.
Analysis: His final kick was clutch, as Zuerlein calmly drilled a 46-yard field goal with zeros on the clock to secure the improbable 40-39 victory. The 32-year-old is off to a solid start to his Dallas tenure, and he should continue to get plenty of scoring opportunities alongside one of the most talent-laden offenses in the NFL.

Little work in Dallas debut
Zuerlein went 1-for-2 on field goals and 2-for-2 on extra points in Sunday's loss to the Rams.
Analysis: The miss was from 53 yards out, but Zuerlein still failed to produce a revenge game against the team that let him walk away in the spring after eight mostly excellent seasons. The Cowboys' offense was expected to be explosive this year, although it fizzled with 17 points in Week 1, so there should be more productive days ahead for Zuerlein.

Fellow kicker released
The release of Kai Forbath on Saturday solidifies Zuerlein's status as the Cowboys' top placekicker, Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis: Though Forbath performed very capably during his stint with Dallas last season, the Cowboys elected to stick with Zuerlein, whose strong leg led to some productive fantasy seasons during his eight-year tenure with the Rams. The 32-year-old will now be working behind a strong Dallas offense, a context that could help him engineer a bounce-back campaign. Zuerlein made 24 of his 33 field-goal attempts with Los Angeles in 2019, resulting in a career-low 72.7 percent conversion rate.

Exits LA for Dallas
Zuerlein has reached agreement on a three-year, $7.5 million contract with the Cowboys, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Coming off a down season with nine missed field goals, Zuerlein will settle for a contract that leaves him outside the top tier at his position, and he may even need to compete with Kai Forbath -- who recently signed a one-year contract -- for the placekicking job. Zuerlein, the presumptive favorite, still has plenty of leg strength, as evidenced by his five conversions from 50-plus yards for the Rams last season. Misses another kick in Week 17
Zuerlein connected on one of his two field-goal attempts and all four extra-point kicks during Sunday's 31-24 win over Arizona.
Analysis: The veteran finished the campaign connecting on just four of eight field-goal attempts over the final five weeks of the season to drop to 72.7 conversion rate for the year. It was the second worst field-goal percentage of his career and lowest since hitting just 66.7 percent during the 2015 season. He's a good bet to bounce back in 2020, and the improvements the Los Angeles offense made down the stretch are encouraging for his fantasy outlook.

Costly missed field goal
Zuerlein connected on one of his two field-goal attempts and all four extra-point kicks during Saturday's 34-31 loss to San Francisco.
Analysis: While it was early in the third quarter when Zuerlein missed a 52-yard, field-goal attempt, it was still costly. The veteran has missed half of his field-goal kicks over the past four weeks and owns an underwhelming 74.2 conversion percentage for the campaign. It's a disappointing mark after Zuerlein hit 90.3 percent over the previous three seasons, but it is worth noting he missed practices this week because of a quadriceps injury.

Available Saturday
Zuerlein (quadriceps) is active for Saturday's game at San Francisco, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
Analysis: Zuerlein didn't practice this week due to a strained right quad, but his availability nonetheless was contingent on his ability to kick Friday. When the Rams didn't sign another kicker before this game, it was a sign that he got through the session without issue. He'll look to fare better than he did against the 49ers in Week 6, when he didn't attempt a field goal and made his sole point-after try.

Expected to play
Zuerlein (quadriceps) is expected to play Saturday against the 49ers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The Rams opted not to sign another kicker ahead of Saturday's contest, which seems to indicate Zuerlein's availability. While fantasy owners may want to have a plan in place in the unlikely event the 31-year-old can't play, it's clear the Rams trust their kicker's health in a do-or-die playoff situation against the 49ers.

Status in question for Saturday
The Rams expect Zuerlein (quadriceps) to suit up Saturday at San Francisco, but he'll attempt kicks Friday to determine his availability, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Zuerlein hasn't logged a practice rep this week due to a quad strain. Friday's test should reveal whether or not he'll be available Saturday evening, but coach Sean McVay hinted the Rams have a contingency in place in the event Zuerlein is sidelined. If that comes to pass, the Rams likely will sign Brett Maher to the 53-man roster after he had a tryout with the team, per Field Yates of ESPN.

Misses another practice
Zuerlein (quadriceps) didn't take part in practice Wednesday, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Zuerlein has been sidelined this week while rehabbing a strained quadriceps. The development has spurred the Rams to explore other options, as coach Sean McVay told Thiry on Monday. To date, though, the team hasn't added another kicker to the 53-man roster or practice squad, so Zuerlein remains the top in-house option to handle such duties Saturday in San Francisco.

Uncertain for Week 16
Head coach Sean McVay said Monday that Zuerlein is dealing with a muscle strain in his leg and is questionable for Saturday's game against the 49ers, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Zuerlein was barely used in Sunday's 44-21 loss to Dallas, making his only extra-point attempt. It's unclear how he sustained the injury, but the fact that he could miss time suggests it's cause for concern. McVay said the team will explore its options at kicker this week just in case, but it's still too early for Zuerlein to be in serious jeopardy of missing Week 16.

No field-goal attempts in loss
Zuerlein connected on his only extra-point attempt during Sunday's 44-21 loss to Dallas.
Analysis: The Cowboys got ahead in the second quarter and took Zuerlein out of the game before halftime. It was a disappointing fantasy showing for the veteran, and obviously, at the wrong time of the season. Unfortunately, a road date with the 49ers in Week 16 doesn't project as a favorable setup, either.

Hits four more extra points
Zuerlein connected on all four of his extra-point kicks during Sunday's 28-12 win over Seattle. His lone field-goal attempt from 39 yards was blocked.
Analysis: The veteran is a perfect 33-for-33 on extra-point kicks this season, but he's only converted 75.9 percent of his field-goal attempts. It's a notable drop from his 90.3 percent success rate over the previous three seasons. The Los Angeles offense appears to have found its footing of late and scored 62 points over the past two weeks, so Zuerlein should continue to receive chances and remains a serviceable fantasy asset in the majority of settings -- even with his dip in efficiency.

Converts six kicks
Zuerlein made two of three field-goal attempts and all four extra-point attempts during Sunday's 34-7 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: Zuerlein converted a couple chip shots from 27 and 33 yards, but he missed wide left from 41 yards during the first quarter. It was a much-needed performance for the Los Angeles offense after a few down weeks, and a matchup with Seattle awaits in Week 14. The 31-year-old has already missed six field goals this season -- his most misses since 2015 -- with most of his struggles coming in the 40-yard range (4-for-9).

Accounts for all of Rams' points
Zuerlein connected on both of his field-goal attempts during Monday's 45-6 loss to Baltimore.
Analysis: The veteran kicker hit from 32 and 46 yards during the second quarter and accounted for Los Angeles' entire offensive production. Zuerlein's been held to just eight field goals and 10 extra points through the past five games, and with the Rams' offense struggling, his fantasy value is trending in the wrong direction.

Nails everything Sunday
Zuerlein connected on a 38-yard field goal and both extra-point tries in Sunday's 17-7 win over the Bears.
Analysis: Zuerlein's been unusually shaky this year, as he made 18 of 23 tries (78 percent) -- his worst conversion rate since 2015. The 31-year-old has yet to miss an extra point, though, and he's drilled everything under 40 yards over the last two seasons. Zuerlein and the Rams will take on a strong Baltimore defense in Week 12.

Another mediocre week
Zuerlein connected on one of his two field-goal attempts and converted his lone extra-point kick during Sunday's 17-12 loss to Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Zuerlein's miss came from 56 yards, so it was hardly a chip shot, and the miss isn't as concerning as his dwindling opportunities. The Los Angeles offense is struggling against formidable defenses, and it's hurt the kicker's numbers in three of the past four games. His fantasy value is beginning to decline.
