The Chiefs waived Brooks on Monday.

Analysis: Brooks linked with Kansas City back in May as an undrafted rookie out of Kansas State, but he wasn't able to do enough this offseason to earn a spot on the initial 53-man roster. At 5-foot-7, the undersized wideout's clearest path to contributing at the NFL level will likely be in the return game. He could get a chance on the Chiefs' practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.
