Pre-Season Outlook
Allgeier may very well establish himself as a starting running back in the NFL someday, and maybe even as an above-average starter, but right now the Falcons have a superior talent in Bijan Robinson. Allgeier's otherwise considerable talent can't reach those heights, and with the Falcons presumably running less in 2024 compared to recent seasons, there's a strong chance Allgeier sees his workload decline. With that said, he's a powerful, 220-pound back who ran for 1,035 yards during his 2022 rookie season, which means he should step right in as a reliable fantasy starter in the event injuries cost Robinson time this year. Allgeier's status as one of the better backup RBs in the league makes him worthy of a bench spot in nearly any fantasy format.

Analysis: Allgeier started the preseason finale while veterans Damien Williams and Cordarrelle Patterson both got the night off.
