Spending offseason in Denver
Denver signed Badie to a reserve/future contract Monday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
Analysis: Badie was with the Broncos' practice squad since late October, and the team apparently saw enough to give him a chance to compete for a spot on their 53-man roster in OTAs and training camp. Badie boasts good speed, but at 5-foot-8, 197 lbs., it's unlikely he'll ever see a bellcow workload in the NFL.

Bumped up Saturday
The Broncos elevated Badie to their active roster Saturday.
Analysis: Badie has spent the majority of the year on Denver's practice squad, and he's now in line to appear in his first game since 2022 this Sunday. The 23-year-old's elevation could mean that the Broncos are preparing to be without running back Samaje Perine (knee) in Week 14.

Gets cut loose

Scooped up by Denver
The Broncos signed Badie to their active roster from the Ravens' practice squad Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Badie, who was drafted by Baltimore in the sixth round earlier this year, terminated his practice squad contract with the Ravens on Wednesday and has since latched on with the Broncos. The 22-year-old running back will look to make his NFL debut at some point throughout the final two games of the regular season while working behind Latavius Murray, Chase Edmonds and Marlon Mack.

Parts ways with Ravens
Badie terminated his practice squad contract with Baltimore on Wednesday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Analysis: Badie was taken by the Ravens in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and saw ample opportunity in the preseason, but he failed to make the 53-man roster and was subsequently waived. The Missouri product then signed to Baltimore's practice squad and spent the entire season there before terminating his contract Wednesday. It's unclear if he's found another team, but after rushing for 1,604 yards and 14 touchdowns and adding another 330 yards and four TDs as a pass catcher in his senior…read more

Back with Baltimore
The Ravens signed Badie to their practice squad Wednesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Badie, a rookie sixth-round pick, saw a lot of work during the preseason but didn't land a spot on the initial 53-man roster. However, he'll look to refine his craft and maybe garner a promotion or two while he spends the majority of his first NFL season on the practice squad.

Let go by Ravens
Badie has been waived by Baltimore, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Badie saw a lot of work during the preseason but failed to make enough of an impression to land a spot on the team's 53-man roster. Still, assuming he clears waivers, the Missouri product is a candidate to land on the Ravens' practice squad.

Gets second-half work
Badie rushed 12 times for 34 yards and caught two of three targets for five yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-17 win over Arizona.
Analysis: Badie finished the game with the most carries for the Ravens' banged-up backfield, but all of those attempts came in the second half, and the rookie didn't do a whole lot with the volume presented. Badie will continue battling for a roster spot in the preseason finale against the Commanders on Saturday.

Busy in preseason opener
Badie had six carries for 19 yards and added one reception for nine yards in Thursday's preseason opener against the TItans.
Analysis: Baltimore deployed five different running backs Thursday as it looks to identify depth behind its presumptive starters who were not in action for the first preseason game. Badie, a rookie, got the most carries on the team but managed just 3.2 yards per carry. The volume was encouraging in that Baltimore clearly wants to see what it has in the rookie out of Missouri, but Badie's output will need to improve as the preseason progresses. Veterans Mike Davis and Corey Clement stand as Badie's…read more
