Pre-Season Outlook
It was mildly surprising that Warren wasn't the first tight end drafted in 2025, as he went 14th overall to the Colts, four spots after Colston Loveland from Big Ten rival Ohio State went to Chicago. Warren was significantly more productive at Penn State, racking up 104 catches for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior in 2024 while being renowned for his versatility and leadership on and off the field. The Colts threw the fourth-fewest passes in the NFL to TEs last season, though that was at least in part due to a lack of talent at the position, which is why Warren is expected to start out of the gate. He isn't quite the generational prospect at the position that Brock Bowers was coming out of Georgia, but the 6-foot-6, 261-pound Warren moves well for his size and should present a reliable security blanket for whichever QB wins the competition between Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones.
