The Bears re-signed Williams on Monday.
Analysis: Chicago tendered Williams in early March, and the 26-year-old will be back for a second year with the organization for the 2025 season. Williams worked in a rotational role last season, posting 23 tackles (17 solo), including 3.0 sacks, over 17 games after not logging any time in the NFL in 2023. Out with foot injury
Williams, who was injured in the first practice of training camp, was wearing a boot on his right foot and did not participate in Saturday's practice, the Indianapolis Star reports.
Analysis: Williams is competing for a backup spot on the defensive line, so he will surely benefit if the injury is short term in nature.
