Lands in Miami
Britt signed a one-year contract with the Dolphins on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Britt is coming off a career year in Tampa Bay, having racked up 72tackles (40 solo) including 0.5 sacks, plus one pass defensed. With Anthony Walker having departed as a free agent and signed a one-year contract with the Buccaneers, Britt has a clear path to a starting role at interior linebacker with Miami, a role that could provide him with modest fantasy value in IDP formats.

Career numbers in contract year
Britt supplied 72 tackles (40 solo), including 0.5 sacks, and one defended pass across 14 regular-season games in 2024.
Analysis: Britt moved into a starting role at left inside linebacker in Todd Bowles' defense in 2024 and made good use of the opportunity, recording at least six stops in six contests while logging a career-high 588 snaps. Britt missed three games in Weeks 14 to 16 with an ankle injury, but he otherwise gave a solid accounting of himself in what was the final year of his rookie deal. Given the 2021 fifth-round pick has only one season of extensive play on film, it's possible Britt can be a cost-effective…read more

Will play against Carolina
Britt (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Analysis: Britt will return from a three-game absence due to an ankle injury he suffered in Week 13 against the Panthers. In the 11 games prior to his injury, the 2021 fifth-round pick logged 66 tackles (35 solo), including 0.5 sacks, and one pass defense. Britt should reclaim his starting spot at inside linebacker alongside Lavonte David while J.J. Russell and Deion Jones serve as the backups.

Questionable for Sunday
Britt (ankle) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Panthers, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The Auburn product has been sidelined for each of Tampa Bay's last three games due to an ankle injury sustained in the Week 13 win over the Panthers. However, Britt practiced in full throughout the week, suggesting he's nearing a return to the field. If Britt suits up for Sunday's divisional matchup, he's expected to start alongside Lavonte David as part of the Bucs' top inside linebacker duo.

Britt (ankle) was estimated as a full participant in practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Britt has missed Tampa Bay's past three games after suffering an ankle injury Week 13 against Carolina. Though the Buccaneers didn't hold a regular practice Wednesday, the fact Britt was estimated as a full participant suggests he could return to the field Sunday against the Panthers. J.J. Likely missing Week 16
Britt (ankle) is listed as doubtful ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Cowboys, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: The Auburn product has missed each of Tampa Bay's last two games due to an ankle injury, and despite limited practice sessions Thursday and Friday, it appears likely he'll miss his third game in a row Sunday. If Britt is sidelined in Week 16 as expected, Vi Jones is likely to start alongside Lavonte David as part of the Buccaneers' top inside linebacker duo.

Britt (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Britt has missed the Buccaneers' last two games due to an ankle injury. His return to practice Thursday is a positive step in his progression through his rehab, and Friday's injury report will indicate his chances of playing Sunday against Dallas. Won't play Sunday
Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said Friday that Britt (ankle) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Analysis: Britt injured his ankle Week 13 versus the Panthers and will now miss his second consecutive game while working to rehab. With Britt unavailable, J.J. Russell (hamstring) could get a chance to enter the starting lineup, if he can get healthy. Otherwise, that opportunity will figure to go to Vi Jones.

Opens week as DNP
Britt (ankle) was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice walkthrough, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Analysis: Britt hurt his ankle against Carolina in Week 13 and missed this past Sunday's win over the Raiders. His participation level the rest of this week should clarify whether he has a chance of returning to action Sunday against the Chargers. If Britt can't play in that contest, J.J. Russell could get a start if he's able to return from a hamstring issue. Otherwise, the opportunity could go to Vi Jones.

Hurts ankle in Week 13
Britt suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's contest at Carolina.
Analysis: Before exiting in the second quarter, Britt didn't make a mark in the box score for the Buccaneers. If he's unable to return to action, it'll mark his first game of the campaign without a tackle. Through 11 appearances, Britt ranged from three to 10 tackles in a given outing.

Analysis: Despite rotating off the field more frequently than he had in other recent games, Britt still played 45 defensive snaps Monday, and he totaled six-plus tackles for the sixth time in his last seven outings. As long as he holds onto his starting spot, he'll remain on the IDP radar as the year continues.

Ready for bigger role
Head coach Todd Bowles said Wednesday that Britt is ready to become a three-down defensive player in 2024, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Analysis: Britt has also demonstrated a better grasp of the mental part of the game, according to Bowles. The 24-year-old recorded 29 tackles (16 solo) and one pass defensed last season. Breaks out in divisional-round loss
Britt recorded 12 tackles (seven solo), including one for loss, in the Buccaneers' 31-23 divisional-round loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Analysis: Britt was the surprise runner-up in tackles on the night for the Buccaneers, trailing only Lavonte David's 13 stops. Could return for wild card
Britt (calf) is listed as questionable ahead of Monday night's game against the Eagles.
Analysis: Britt seems to be trending in the right direction to play in the wild-card round, as he's gone from opening the Buccaneers' week of practice with a DNP to a full session Saturday. If the 24-year-old is able to suit up Monday night, he'd likely serve as Tampa Bay's top reserve inside linebacker.

Won't play in Week 18
Britt (calf) is inactive for Sunday's regular-season finale against Carolina.
Analysis: Britt is dealing with a calf injury that surfaced late in the week and held him to a limited practice session Friday. Downgraded to doubtful
Britt (calf) has been downgraded to doubtful ahead of Sunday's game against the Panthers, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The third-year linebacker was a late addition to the Buccaneers' injury report, as he popped up as a limited participant in Friday's practice due to a calf issue. As it gets closer to Sunday, it seems increasingly likely that Britt won't be available for Tampa Bay. J.J. Analysis: The linebacker had been listed as questionable heading into the weekend, but he never appeared likely to sit out Sunday after he closed Week 14 prep as a full practice participation. Britt (back) is officially questionable to face Atlanta in Week 14 on Sunday.
Analysis: Britt made an early exit from this past Sunday's game versus Carolina after injuring his back.
