Lands future deal
The Chargers signed Kampmoyer to a reserve/future deal Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Analysis: Kampmoyer spent the entire campaign on the Chargers' practice squad, but with his new deal, he'll have a chance to compete for an active roster spot throughout training camp. The undrafted tight end out of Oregon made one appearance for Los Angeles last year, but he failed to record any counting stats across three offensive snaps.

Returns on practice squad
The Chargers signed Kampmoyer to the practice squad Wednesday.
Analysis: Kampmoyer spent much of his 2021 rookie campaign on the Chargers' practice squad after joining the team as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon. The 24-year-old saw one elevation (three offensive snaps) from the team's practice squad last year, and he will once again look to establish a role as an emergency option at tight end in 2022.

Analysis: Kampmoyer caught four passes for 35 yards, including a two-point conversion, across three preseason games. Analysis: It's at least promising that the rookie tight end appears destined for the team's practice squad, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports. The undrafted free agent was primarily a blocking specialist throughout his collegiate career and likely would fill a similar role on the 53-man roster should he be promoted down the road.
