      Week 15 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Dickers Nuts Rallies Against Sheik Yerbouti, Grabs Spot in Semifinals

Dickers Nuts (7-8, 2,069.15 points) put up the second-highest point total this week to get the win over Sheik Yerbouti (9-6, 2,095.35 points) 136.20 to 129.40 in a back-and-forth matchup. Dickers Nuts had an early lead after the first group of Sunday games, going up 59.60 to 59.30. They gave up that lead after the late Sunday games and were behind by 2.80. However, thanks to 21.60 points from Josh Jacobs during the Packers/Seahawks game, Sunday night ended with Dickers Nuts on top.

Sheik Yerbouti had one noticeable starter that missed out on some opportunities. Despite being targeted seven times, Tyreek Hill could only manage two catches.

In addition to the fantasy victory, Dickers Nuts was keen enough to select winners in real life, as well. Each of their starters played on a winning NFL team in Week 15.

For the victorious side, Jacobs is hitting his stride at the right time. Over the past four games, he has topped his season scoring average by 36%. Despite the loss, Sheik Yerbouti had a pair of players peaking for the postseason: the Kansas City Chiefs DEF and Trey McBride. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 8.75 and 20.40 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 62% and 34%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was fading down the stretch. Derrick Henry has dipped below his yearly average by 43% over the past month.

After a steady campaign, Dickers Nuts slipped into the playoffs as the No. 6 seed. They advance to the semifinals where they face No. 2-seeded AngryEye, who is coming off a bye week. These teams last met in Week 7, with AngryEye winning, 143.45 to 139.30. Sheik Yerbouti ended the regular season in third place with a record of 9-5. From a points per game perspective, they ranked slightly better (second with 140.43). Sheik Yerbouti was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
