Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

LasTobys Cerveceros Rallies Late to Beat Sheik Yerbouti, Evens Series

Facing a 36.15-point deficit on Monday night, LasTobys Cerveceros scored 55.70 to beat Sheik Yerbouti 180.80 to 161.25. They also put up the sixth-highest point total of the season. LasTobys Cerveceros was clutch under the lights of prime time with 55.70 points on Monday Night Football (31% of their total score). This stunner was revenge for a loss to Sheik Yerbouti in their last meeting a season ago. Trey McBride led Sheik Yerbouti with 33.30 points (123 Rec Yds, 1 TD) while Derrick Henry racked up 27.50 (147 Rsh Yds, 1 TD).

Bigsby had plenty of opportunities for Sheik Yerbouti, but could only manage 33 total yards on 11 touches.

In addition to the fantasy W, LasTobys Cerveceros was savvy enough to select winners in real-life football, as well. Among all of their starters, Joe Mixon was the only one that played on a losing NFL team in Week 17.

For the victors, a few players have been late-season stars, including DeVonta Smith and Sam LaPorta. During the playoffs, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 118% and 87%, respectively. Conversely, LasTobys Cerveceros has several players trending the opposite way. Cooper Kupp and Mixon have both substantially underperformed their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the playoff loss, McBride was playing well in the postseason for Sheik Yerbouti. During that stretch, he has averaged 25.50 points, exceeding his year-to-date number by 73%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who fell flat on the biggest stage. Averaging 16.07 points on the season, Brock Bowers tallied 10.55 per game in the playoffs.
