Youngstown Mafia benefited from 20.00 points from Jaxon Smith-Njigba (95 Rec Yds, 1 TD) and 14.06 from C.J. Stroud (244 Pas Yds, 2 TD/2 Int) to beat Buenos Aires Blue Dogs 98.46 to 84.42. Youngstown Mafia took a 37.74-point lead on Thursday and never looked back. Youngstown Mafia exacted a bit of postseason revenge against Buenos Aires Blue Dogs with this victory. In the teams' last playoff matchup, Youngstown Mafia lost in the consolation quarterfinals in 2023. Bo Nix led Buenos Aires Blue Dogs with 21.02 points (263 Pas Yds, 25 Rsh Yds, 2 TD) while Ja'Marr Chase racked up 19.40 (97 Rec Yds, 1 TD). It could have gone the other way had Buenos Aires Blue Dogs not had several starters score zero points.
Kendre Miller had plenty of chances for Youngstown Mafia, but he logged just 31 total yards on 10 touches.
For the victors, a couple of players have been hitting their strides at the right time: Jerry Jeudy and the Kansas City Chiefs DEF. Over the past four fantasy matchups, that duo has surpassed their season scoring averages by 47% and 38%, respectively.
Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Youngstown Mafia faces No. 4-seeded Jerusalem Cheeseheads. These teams most recently clashed in Week 11, with Jerusalem Cheeseheads winning, 90.56 to 74.44. Buenos Aires Blue Dogs finished the regular season in 10th place with a record of 6-8. With a scoring average of 92.38, they also placed 11th in the league in that metric. Buenos Aires Blue Dogs was one-and-done this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
Adams pulled down seven catches this week for 68 yards and a TD. He now has at least 50 yards and a touchdown in each of his last four games.
The 19.40 points scored by Chase this week was good enough to rank ninth among WRs.
The Chiefs Defense (19 PA, 2 Sack, 2 Int) scored 12.00 points, the ninth-highest score of any DEF in the league this week.
By going 23-39 for 244 yards and two TDs, Stroud has now thrown for less than 250 yards in each of his last four games. He has not topped 250 yards through the air since Week 11 versus the Dallas Cowboys, when he put up 257.
McConkey made a catch every time he was targeted and finished with six receptions for 87 yards to score 11.70 points.
With 4.20 points (10.57-point projection), Harris (42 Rsh Yds) missed his projected score for the seventh time this year.
