Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

LI Crushers Pounds Sticky wizzleteets to Avenge Prior Loss

LI Crushers took advantage of 41.10 points from Malik Nabers (171 Rec Yds, 2 TD) and 29.70 from Mike Evans (97 Rec Yds, 2 TD), drubbing Sticky wizzleteets 140.35 to 74.70. This beatdown was revenge for a loss to Sticky wizzleteets in their last meeting a season ago. Jalen McMillan led Sticky wizzleteets with 23.00 points (51 Rec Yds, 2 TD) while Cameron Dicker racked up 16.00. Each team left something on the table as LI Crushers had one starter turn in zero points and Sticky wizzleteets had two.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. had plenty of chances for LI Crushers, but he logged just 73 total yards on 22 touches.

For the winners, two players have been getting hot in the playoffs: Nabers and Justin Jefferson. During the playoffs, that duo has bettered their season scoring averages by 58% and 36%, respectively. Conversely, LI Crushers has a pair of players trending the opposite way. David Montgomery and the Arizona Cardinals DEF have both fallen significantly short of their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the loss, Sticky wizzleteets also had a few players performing their best in the playoffs, most notably McMillan and the Buffalo Bills DEF. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 19.85 and 14.50 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 134% and 55%. On the other hand, the losers had a couple of players who struggled in the playoff spotlight: Aaron Rodgers and DeAndre Hopkins.
