Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Behind Three Big Performances, Harvey's Putzwadlers Will Play for Championship

The trio of Jayden Daniels, James Cook, and Jahmyr Gibbs led the charge, as Harvey's Putzwadlers dismantled Washington Railsplitters 204.00 to 131.60. That threesome combined to tally 111.00 points, clearly outpacing the top scorers from Washington Railsplitters (Keenan Allen, Ja'Marr Chase, and Josh Jacobs), who totaled 77.20 points. Daniels passed for five touchdowns, registering 49.00 points (258 Pas Yds, 81 Rsh Yds, 5 TD/2 Int). Cook put up two touchdowns to contribute 33.60 points (100 Rsh Yds, 26 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD), while Gibbs chipped in 28.40 points (109 Rsh Yds, 45 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Daniels also recorded the second-highest point total in the league this week, with Cook tallying his highest point total of the season. Harvey's Putzwadlers had the best score in the league this year, as well as the fifth-biggest margin of victory.

In addition to the fantasy W, Harvey's Putzwadlers was savvy enough to pick winners in real football, as well. Among all of their starters, George Kittle was the only one that didn't play on a winning NFL team this week.

For the winners, a few players have been getting hot in the playoffs, including the Kansas City Chiefs DEF and Cook. During the playoffs, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 126% and 81%, respectively. Despite the loss, Washington Railsplitters had a couple of players peaking for the postseason: Allen and Josh Allen. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 21.15 and 42.20 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 76% and 33%.

Next week, the league championship will be decided when Harvey's Putzwadlers matches up against No. 2-seeded Turd Ferg. Harvey's Putzwadlers has a 1-1 record against Turd Ferg this season. Washington Railsplitters finished the regular season in first place with a record of 13-1. With a scoring average of 147.53, they also placed second in the league in that metric. Washington Railsplitters dropped their first playoff game following an opening-round bye. They had the league's best average scoring margin this season, outperforming opponents by 16.79 points per game.
