Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

The fighting bigstankys Comes Back to Edge Motions Eleven and Wins League Consolation Championship

The fighting bigstankys continues to frustrate Motions Eleven, and they make this one interesting 136.30 to 130.95. Both teams are now sitting at 7-9 on the year. Joe Burrow (412 Pas Yds, 25 Rsh Yds, 3 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD) put up 53.10 points, which was more than his 43.65 points in the last matchup with Motions Eleven. The gap could have been wider as The fighting bigstankys had a starter score zero points (Kenneth Walker III).

There was one starter on The fighting bigstankys that missed out on opportunities. Terry McLaurin could only reel in a single catch, despite seeing a total of seven targets. A position where Motions Eleven really made a regrettable decision is running back. Zach Charbonnet could have started in place of Rhamondre Stevenson, and that point difference would've altered the outcome.

In addition to the fantasy W, The fighting bigstankys was savvy enough to choose winners in real-life football, as well. Among all of their starters, D'Andre Swift is the only one that played on a losing NFL team this past week.

Despite the loss, Motions Eleven had a pair of players performing their best in the playoffs: Jonathan Taylor and Baker Mayfield. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 41.20 and 41.75 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 126% and 43%. On the other hand, the losers had two players who struggled in the playoff spotlight: Stevenson and the Minnesota Vikings DEF.

The fighting bigstankys wrapped up the regular season in eighth place with a record of 5-9. Better than their record indicated, they ranked fourth in the league in points per game with 127.94. In their only other postseason game on their voyage to the consolation championship, The fighting bigstankys beat LI Crushers, 140.70 to 119.10. Motions Eleven ended the regular season in seventh place with a record of 6-8. They also ranked seventh in the league with 120.58 points per game. Following an opening-round playoff bye, Motions Eleven leveled Sticky wizzleteets, 180.65 to 117.95.
