      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Mr McGibblets Gets Win over MRAZSPORTS to Get to Championship

Mr McGibblets beat MRAZSPORTS 164.05 to 129.50 for their second win in as many head-to-head matchups. Their overall record goes to 10-5, while MRAZSPORTS drops to 8-8. MRAZSPORTS isn't an easy win for Mr McGibblets, who now has a 19.10-point average margin of victory against them. That's thinner than their second-best margin of victory in the league of 40.68. Lamar Jackson passed for three touchdowns and did the most damage this week, getting 28.55 points. The last time these teams met, Chris Godwin led the way with 40.50. To make matters worse, MRAZSPORTS had a starter score zero points (Stefon Diggs).

For the victors, several players have been warming up at the right time, including Jerome Ford and Davante Adams. Over the past four fantasy matchups, that duo has topped their season scoring averages by 64% and 55%, respectively. Conversely, Mr McGibblets has a player heading in the opposite direction. Rhamondre Stevenson has fallen significantly short of his year-to-date average recently. Despite the loss, MRAZSPORTS had two players performing their best in the playoffs: James Cook and CeeDee Lamb. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 32.95 and 25.05 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 81% and 37%. On the other hand, the losers had a few players who struggled in the playoff spotlight, most notably Diggs and Najee Harris.

Fueled by a strong second half, Mr McGibblets headed for the playoffs as the No. 2 seed. Next week, the league championship will be decided when Mr McGibblets faces No. 4-seeded BeerNutz. Mr McGibblets has a 1-1 record against BeerNutz this season. MRAZSPORTS wrapped up the regular season in sixth place with a record of 7-7. In terms of scoring average, they ranked slightly better (fifth with 130.91). In their only other postseason game of the season, MRAZSPORTS took down Weekend Wise Guys, 147.50 to 138.55.
