      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

LBC5150 Beats Fields of Steel to Win League Consolation Championship

Bijan Robinson scored two touchdowns (24.80 points) and Josh Allen added 22.98 points as LBC5150 defeated Fields of Steel 117.28 to 90.40. LBC5150 took a 38.40-point lead on Thursday and never looked back. LBC5150 gets revenge for a Week 15 loss (170.56 to 153.94) and improves to 1-2 this season against Fields of Steel. Fields of Steel was led by Jahmyr Gibbs with 26.30 points (117 Rsh Yds, 46 Rec Yds, 1 TD) and Justin Jefferson, who scored 17.20 (92 Rec Yds).

There was one starter on LBC5150 that missed out on opportunities. Even though George Pickens saw a total of seven targets, he reeled in just three catches.

For the winners, Puka Nacua is peaking during the playoffs. He has outperformed his season scoring average by 49% during the postseason run. On the other hand, LBC5150 also has a player heading in the opposite direction, as George Pickens has fallen well beneath his year-to-date average since the playoffs began. Despite the loss, Fields of Steel also had two players performing their best in the playoffs: Jefferson and Gibbs. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 26.80 and 25.85 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 38% and 33%. Conversely, the losers had a player who was sputtering under the brightest lights. Averaging 9.24 points on the season, Rome Odunze mustered just 6.10 per game in the playoffs.

LBC5150 concluded the regular season in seventh place with a record of 6-9. They also ranked seventh in the league with 116.75 points per game. In their only other postseason game on their trek to a consolation title, LBC5150 beat THE AUTUMN WIND, 138.04 to 125.94. Fields of Steel finished the regular season in fifth place with a record of 8-7. They also ranked fifth in the league with 125.00 points per game. In their only other postseason game of the season, Fields of Steel took down Trebor Flynt, 155.88 to 124.72. They distributed their fair share of big losses this year, as they piled up four blowout victories on the season.
