Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Choco Fritos 04 Gets Late Victory over Bear Down, Gets Shot at Consolation Championship

Choco Fritos 04 remains unbeaten against Bear Down this season after yet another win, this time by a final score of 165.54 to 150.12. They go to 9-7, while Bear Down drops to 7-9. Jonathan Taylor rushed for 218 yards and was the key player this week, putting up 39.80 points for Choco Fritos 04. Taylor has lived up to his draft position for Choco Fritos 04, scoring an average of 16.01 points per game. This is the largest margin of victory for Choco Fritos 04 in three head-to-head matchups. They beat Bear Down 116.56 to 104.94 in Week 15 and again 119.00 to 111.04 in Week 6.

There was one starter on Bear Down that missed out on some chances. Even though Tyreek Hill saw a total of seven targets, he reeled in just three catches.

It wasn't all bad news for Bear Down, considering they did start two of the league's top-10 overall RBs this week. In addition to the fantasy victory, Choco Fritos 04 was keen enough to select winners in real football, as well. Every one of their starters suited up on a victorious NFL team in Week 16.

For the winners, a few players have been getting hot at the right time, most notably the Cincinnati Bengals DEF and Anthony Richardson. Over the past four fantasy matchups, that duo has exceeded their season scoring averages by 145% and 68%, respectively. On the other hand, Choco Fritos 04 has a player trending the opposite way. Cooper Kupp has fallen significantly short of his year-to-date average recently. Despite the loss, Bear Down had a pair of players peaking for the postseason: Mark Andrews and Tyrone Tracy Jr. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 14.68 and 13.80 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 42% and 31%.

Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Choco Fritos 04 faces No. 3-seeded Tata4now2. These teams most recently battled in Week 8, with Choco Fritos 04 winning, 153.86 to 107.08. Bear Down finished the regular season in eighth place with a record of 7-8. Better than their record indicated, they ranked third in the league in points per game with 123.11. Bear Down was one-and-done this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
