      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

23 Picks Up Win Against Justin, Will Play for Championship

23 registered the sixth-highest point total this season and got past Justin 173.08 to 133.66. 23 gets revenge for a Week 7 pasting (136.36 to 86.84) and improves to 1-1 this season against Justin. Justin was led by Jahmyr Gibbs with 25.40 points (109 Rsh Yds, 45 Rec Yds, 1 TD) and Caleb Williams, who scored 22.76 (334 Pas Yds, 34 Rsh Yds, 2 TD).

For the victors, a few players have been peaking at the right time, most notably the Atlanta Falcons DEF and Keenan Allen. Over the past four weeks, that duo has exceeded their season scoring averages by 176% and 93%, respectively. Despite the loss, Justin also had several players peaking for the postseason, including T.J. Hockenson and Nico Collins. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 7.30 and 17.70 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 52% and 42%. Conversely, the losers had a player who was fading down the stretch. Breece Hall has dipped below his yearly average by 43% over the past month.

Next week, the league championship will be decided when 23 faces No. 2-seeded Tom. 23 has a 1-1 record against Tom this season. Justin finished the regular season with a record of 8-7, good for fourth place. When considering points per game, they ranked slightly worse (fifth with 118.52). Justin was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup. They handed out their fair share of beatdowns this year, as they piled up four blowout victories on the season.
