Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Natalie Comes Back to Beat Harlem, Secures Spot in Championship

Natalie beat Harlem 149.52 to 142.96 to improve their season record to 3-0 against them. They improve to 11-5, while Harlem drops to 9-7. James Conner (117 Rsh Yds, 49 Rec Yds, 1 TD) was the key player this week, getting 26.60 points for Natalie. Conner continues to be a nice fifth-round pick for Natalie and has played like a top-tier running back. This is the tightest victory for Natalie in three head-to-head matchups. They beat Harlem 148.44 to 108.88 in Week 10 and again 109.38 to 94.16 in Week 1.

There are a couple of spots where Harlem made a blunder, as Keenan Allen could have started in place of either DeAndre Hopkins or Malik Nabers. Either of those point differentials would have been enough to earn the win.

For the winners, a couple of players have been warming up at the right time: Conner and Pat Freiermuth. Over the past four fantasy matchups, that duo has topped their season scoring averages by 41% and 30%, respectively. Harlem had a player who was cooling off at the wrong time. Derrick Henry has fallen short of his yearly average by 25% over the past month.

Next week, the league championship will be decided when Natalie faces top-seeded PUTZINATOR. PUTZINATOR is the league's top-scoring team this year, averaging 143.19 points per game. Harlem finished the regular season in third place with a record of 9-6. With a scoring average of 121.36, they also placed fifth in the league in that metric. Harlem was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
