Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD Puts the Sting on Seven Turns, Will Play for Consolation Championship

I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD dismantled Seven Turns 148.92 to 76.44 while putting up the second-highest score of the week. I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD took a 23.30-point lead on Thursday and never looked back. I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD gets revenge for a Week 10 loss (134.58 to 109.66) and improves to 1-2 this season against Seven Turns. Seven Turns was led by Amon-Ra St. Brown with 19.00 points (70 Rec Yds, 1 TD) and Aaron Jones, who scored 12.30 (67 Rsh Yds, 26 Rec Yds).

On Seven Turns, Jalen Hurts was one of nine total league starters to put up fewer than five points (and the only signal-caller with that dubious distinction ). Dowdle had lots of opportunities for Seven Turns, but he posted just 51 total yards on 16 touches.

For the winning side, a few players have been getting hot at the right time, including Adam Thielen and the Cincinnati Bengals DEF. Over the past four weeks, that duo has bettered their season scoring averages by 176% and 145%, respectively. On the other hand, I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD has a player trending in the wrong direction. Breece Hall has substantially underperformed his year-to-date average recently. Seven Turns had a pair of players who were fading down the stretch: Cooper Kupp and the Minnesota Vikings DEF. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 7.58 and 6.50 points, respectively, falling short of their season-long marks by 36% and 36%.

Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD faces top-seeded YEEEEEEAAAAHH. I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD is winless against YEEEEEEAAAAHH in two matchups this season, with their most recent loss coming in Week 12. Seven Turns finished the regular season in seventh place with a record of 7-8. They also ranked seventh in the league with 120.20 points per game. Seven Turns was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
