The production of Baker Mayfield played an integral role, as I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD beat YEEEEEEAAAAHH 119.06 to 96.10. In the 22.96-point triumph for I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD, the Tampa Bay QB went off for 34.56 points. He passed for five touchdowns as part of his showcase performance (359 Pas Yds, 5 TD). He also recorded his highest point total of the season. The result might have been even worse as I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD had a starter score zero points (Ka'imi Fairbairn).
Achane had plenty of opportunities for YEEEEEEAAAAHH, but could only manage 38 total yards on 12 touches.
With 33 touches this week for Saquon Barkley, it means that his touches have now increased in three consecutive games.
For the victors, a few players have been late-season stars, including Adam Thielen and Keenan Allen. During the playoffs, that duo has topped their season scoring averages by 218% and 58%, respectively. Conversely, I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD has several players trending in the wrong direction. The Pittsburgh Steelers DEF and Fairbairn have both substantially underperformed their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the loss, YEEEEEEAAAAHH had a couple of players performing their best in the playoffs: Bucky Irving and A.J. Brown. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 20.60 and 18.15 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 51% and 33%.
I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD ended the regular season in sixth place with a record of 7-8. From a points per game perspective, they ranked slightly better (fourth with 120.81). In their only other postseason game on their trek to a consolation title, I BLEED GREEN AND GOLD destroyed Seven Turns, 148.92 to 76.44. YEEEEEEAAAAHH concluded the regular season in fifth place with a record of 7-8. When considering points per game, they ranked slightly better (third with 123.73). In their only other postseason game of the season, YEEEEEEAAAAHH took down Steven, 147.58 to 122.98.
