Bijan Robinson scored two touchdowns (24.30 points) and Jerome Ford added 24.10 points as High Hopes beat Arizona Fixitmen 129.44 to 123.10. This matchup included three lead changes, with the largest lead being 19.50 points after Sunday afternoon. High Hopes goes to 1-2 this season against Arizona Fixitmen, avenging a Week 11 loss (97.14 to 87.00) the last time the teams met. James Conner led Arizona Fixitmen with 26.60 points (117 Rsh Yds, 49 Rec Yds, 1 TD) while Patrick Mahomes racked up 23.70 (260 Pas Yds, 33 Rsh Yds, 1 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD).
Robinson had plenty of opportunities for Arizona Fixitmen, but could only manage 41 total yards on 12 touches. A spot where Arizona Fixitmen made a blunder is running back. Kenneth Walker III could have started in place of Brian Robinson, and that point difference would have changed the outcome.
For the winning side, several players have been hitting their strides at the right time, most notably Jalen McMillan and Ford. Over the past four fantasy matchups, that duo has exceeded their season scoring averages by 181% and 87%, respectively. Despite the loss, Arizona Fixitmen also had a pair of players peaking for the postseason: Sam LaPorta and Conner. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 14.60 and 22.68 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 59% and 41%.
Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when High Hopes battles top-seeded Onis. High Hopes has a 1-1 record against Onis this season. Arizona Fixitmen ended the regular season in sixth place with a record of 8-7. With a scoring average of 112.64, they also placed seventh in the league in that metric. Arizona Fixitmen was one-and-done this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
