      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

With Their Top Guns Doing the Heavy Lifting, Team TuneSquad Moves on to Consolation Championship

The triple threat of Justin Jefferson, Keenan Allen, and James Conner led the charge, as Team TuneSquad overwhelmed Rouge rats 178.56 to 114.38. That threesome combined to register 92.10 points, clearly outpacing Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins, and Breece Hall (55.78 combined points), the top three on Rouge rats. Jefferson scored two touchdowns, adding 36.40 points (144 Rec Yds, 2 TD). Allen also put up 29.10 points (141 Rec Yds, 1 TD), while Conner helped out with 26.60 points (117 Rsh Yds, 49 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Jefferson also recorded the second-highest point total in the league this week, with Allen tallying his highest point total of the season. Team TuneSquad had their top score of the season, as well as the seventh-largest margin of victory in the league.

Unfortunately for Rouge rats, T.J. Hockenson was the lone TE to post less than five points (one of only nine total starters in the league to accomplish that). Miller had plenty of chances for Rouge rats, but tallied only 31 total yards on 10 touches.

Team TuneSquad was on a different level with their wideouts, as they started two of the league's top-10 overall WRs this week (including Jefferson, who was second-best overall).

For the winners, several players have been peaking at the right time, including the Chicago WR and Jefferson. Over the past four games, that duo has topped their season scoring averages by 93% and 45%, respectively. Despite the loss, Rouge rats had a few players peaking for the postseason, most notably Mike Evans and T.J. Hockenson. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 21.38 and 7.30 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 65% and 52%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was fading down the stretch. Hall has dipped below his yearly average by 43% over the past month.

Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Team TuneSquad battles top-seeded G- Team. These teams last met in Week 7, with Team TuneSquad winning, 174.32 to 121.36. Rouge rats wrapped up the regular season in sixth place with a record of 7-8. When considering points per game, they ranked slightly better (fifth with 121.68). Rouge rats was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
