Bishop-Sycamore Legend picked up the third-highest player score this week from Jayden Daniels with 34.42 points (258 Pas Yds, 81 Rsh Yds, 5 TD/2 Int), taking down Minutemen 158.52 to 145.12. Bishop-Sycamore Legend took a 0.20-point lead on Thursday and maintained an advantage throughout the matchup. Bishop-Sycamore Legend goes to 1-2 this season against Minutemen, avenging a Week 11 loss (124.94 to 86.14) the last time the teams met. Chuba Hubbard led Minutemen with 32.50 points (152 Rsh Yds, 2 TD) while Baker Mayfield brought in 22.32 (303 Pas Yds, 42 Rsh Yds, 2 TD/1 Int).
Robinson had plenty of opportunities for Minutemen, but could only manage 41 total yards on 12 touches. One spot where Minutemen made a blunder is running back. Tyjae Spears could have started in place of Brian Robinson, and that point difference would have been enough to secure the victory.
It wasn't all bad news for Minutemen, as they did put together a team of real-life winners. Every starter except Mayfield suited up for a winning NFL team in Week 16.
For the winning team, several players have been hitting their strides at the right time, including Brian Thomas Jr. and Daniels. Over the past four weeks, that duo has surpassed their season scoring averages by 57% and 42%, respectively. Despite the loss, Minutemen also had a pair of players peaking for the postseason: Adam Thielen and Puka Nacua. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 17.12 and 22.62 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 176% and 86%.
Next week, the league championship will be decided when Bishop-Sycamore Legend faces top-seeded Tejas Hombres. Tejas Hombres is the league's top-scoring team this year, averaging 140.77 points per game. Minutemen ended the regular season in third place with a record of 10-5. Their record was a bit misleading, as they ranked just eighth in the league in scoring average at 110.33 points per game. Minutemen was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
With a statline of 13 carries for 69 yards and a TD this week, Jacobs now has a rushing TD in each of his last six games.
With 34.42 points, Daniels set the high-water mark this week for any QB.
This was the first week Flowers has had 100 yards receiving yards since he went for 127 against the Denver Broncos in Week 9. He had five catches for 100 yards this week.
With 17.00 points, Elliott tallied the third-highest score for a K this week.
Andrews (37 Rec Yds, 1 TD) scored 13.80 points, the eighth-highest score of any TE in the league this week.
The 23.70 points scored by Brown this week was good enough to rank eighth among WRs.
