Final Score 106.62 | 100.48 |
Jaxson (2-6, 679.74 points) beat William (1-7, 805.84 points) 106.62 to 100.48 in a seesaw battle. They were led by Kyle Pitts's 25.10 points, off of his two touchdowns (91 Rec Yds, 2 TD) and Josh Allen (283 Pas Yds, 25 Rsh Yds, 2 TD/1 Int), who scored 19.82. William landed the first blow and went into Sunday with a 1.00 to 0.00 lead. That advantage evaporated by the end of the early Sunday games and they trailed by 47.70. After William recorded most of their week's points during the late Sunday games, the lead changed again, and they went ahead 98.68 to 94.02. However, by the end of the Cowboys/49ers Sunday night game, Jaxson took the lead for good with the help of 12.60 points from Deebo Samuel Sr.
There was a player on both teams that had plenty of chances but didn't capitalize on opportunities. On the winning side, Nick Chubb got 16 touches but only tallied 52 total yards, while Kareem Hunt managed just 63 yards on 22 touches for William. There are a few spots where William wishes they could get a re-do, unfortunately. Alexander Mattison could have started in place of Jordan Mason, the Buffalo Bills DEF in place of the Minnesota Vikings DEF, and Puka Nacua in place of DeAndre Hopkins. Any of those point differentials would have been enough to earn the win.
While Josh Allen led Jaxson in Week 7 with 21.02 points, Pitts paved the way this week with 25.10. Both sides, interestingly, were savvy enough to choose winners in real life. Among all starters on Jaxson and William, the Vikings D was the only one that didn't suit up on a winning NFL team this week.
Jaxson meets first-place Joes Before Hoes (7-1, 1,078.32) next week. William gets eric (4-4, 1,014.56).
The best score by a DEF this week was 16.00 points by the Lions Defense (14 PA, 1 TD, 1 Sack, 2 Int, 2 Fum).
With a statline of 21 carries for 59 yards and a TD this week, Hunt now has a rushing TD in each of his last three games.
Elliott scored 13.00 points, the third-highest score of any K in the league this week.
This week marked the best point total of the season for Mahomes (262 Pas Yds, 2 TD/1 Int), as he racked up 18.18 points.
With 13.10 points this week (31 Rec Yds, 1 TD), Kincaid put up his highest scoring mark of the year.
With 1.80 points, Mason missed his projection of 14.55 this week. It has now been four weeks in a row that he has failed to reach expectations.
