Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

WM2024 Pounds Kendrickville, Moves on to Championship

WM2024 picked up the highest score by a player this week from Jonathan Taylor with 39.80 points (218 Rsh Yds, 3 TD) to dominate Kendrickville 135.74 to 86.06. WM2024 goes to 2-1 this season against Kendrickville, including a Week 14 win (155.02 to 119.38). Derrick Henry led Kendrickville with 20.90 points (162 Rsh Yds, 27 Rec Yds) while Mark Andrews racked up 13.80 (37 Rec Yds, 1 TD).

Robinson had plenty of opportunities for Kendrickville, but could only manage 41 total yards on 12 touches.

For the winners, a few players have been playing their best at the right time, most notably Puka Nacua and Taylor. Over the past month, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 86% and 62%, respectively. Conversely, WM2024 has several players trending in the wrong direction. The Detroit Lions DEF and Breece Hall have both fallen well beneath their year-to-date averages recently. Despite the loss, Kendrickville also had a couple of players peaking for the postseason: Andrews and Josh Allen. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 14.68 and 33.19 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 42% and 35%. On the other hand, the losers had two players who were fading down the stretch: Amari Cooper and Henry.

Next week, the league championship will be decided when WM2024 faces top-seeded Funkdoggies. Funkdoggies is the league's top-scoring team this year, averaging 138.53 points per game. Kendrickville wrapped up the regular season in second place with a record of 10-5. Their record was a bit misleading, as they ranked just fifth in the league in scoring average at 122.65 points per game. Kendrickville was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
