      • Matthew continues defying the pundits, and has beaten their projected score seven weeks in a row.
      • Charlie earned the win this week despite not starting a top-15 scoring QB.
      • Alexander had a great week by starting the league's top-scoring QB (Burrow with 36.98 points), the top-scoring WR (Higgins with 40.10), and the top-scoring TE (McBride with 30.30).
      • Alexander has now increased their score each of the past three weeks.

      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Hunter Picks Up Win Against ANGRY FANTASY GUY to Claim League Championship

Fueled by the three-headed monster of Malik Nabers, Jayden Daniels, and Jahmyr Gibbs, Hunter defeated ANGRY FANTASY GUY 182.38 to 142.52. That threesome teamed up to tally 94.18 points, topping the production from Adam Thielen, Jonathan Taylor, and Amon-Ra St. Brown (75.60 combined points), the top three on ANGRY FANTASY GUY. Nabers racked up 171 yards, registering 36.10 points (171 Rec Yds, 2 TD). Daniels recorded three passing touchdowns to contribute 31.78 points (227 Pas Yds, 127 Rsh Yds, 3 TD/1 Int), while Gibbs chipped in 26.30 points (117 Rsh Yds, 46 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Hunter took a 27.50-point lead on Thursday and never looked back. Hunter has played ANGRY FANTASY GUY well lately, improving to 2-1 head-to-head this season, including a Week 11 win (169.24 to 128.72) in their last matchup. ANGRY FANTASY GUY was led by Thielen with 28.00 points (110 Rec Yds, 2 TD) and Taylor, who scored 27.60 (125 Rsh Yds, 2 TD). Adding insult to injury, ANGRY FANTASY GUY had a starter score zero points (Ka'imi Fairbairn).

To go along with the fantasy victory, Hunter was savvy enough to select winners in real life, as well. Among all of their starters, Brandon Aubrey was the only one that suited up on a losing NFL team in Week 17.

For the winning team, several players have been postseason stars, including Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. During the playoffs, that duo has exceeded their season scoring averages by 70% and 61%, respectively. On the other hand, Hunter has a player trending the opposite way. The Minnesota Vikings DEF has substantially underperformed their year-to-date average in the postseason by 44%. Despite the loss, ANGRY FANTASY GUY also had a pair of players performing their best in the playoffs: Thielen and Taylor. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 21.65 and 33.70 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 218% and 163%. Conversely, the losers had a player who was sputtering under the brightest lights. Averaging 10.87 points on the season, Ka'imi Fairbairn mustered just 3.50 per game in the playoffs.

Hunter finished the regular season in first place with a record of 13-2. They also ranked first in the league with 141.84 points per game. In their only other postseason game on their trail to the title, Hunter stomped Alexander, 196.32 to 118.78. They had the league's best average scoring margin this season, outpacing opponents by 39.78 points per game. ANGRY FANTASY GUY wrapped up the regular season with a record of 11-4, good for second place. From a points per game perspective, they ranked slightly worse (third with 119.87). In their only other postseason game of the season, ANGRY FANTASY GUY beat Matthew, 162.94 to 123.98.
