Wanderers remains undefeated against Back Again this season after yet another win, this time by a final score of 149.58 to 101.98. They go to 15-2, while Back Again drops to 12-5. Malik Nabers racked up 171 yards and was the team leader this week, putting up 36.10 points. Nabers has been a quality sixth-round pick for Wanderers and has played like a top-tier wide receiver. Each team left something on the table as Wanderers had one starter turn in zero points and Back Again also had one. This is the tightest win for Wanderers in three head-to-head matchups. They beat Back Again 155.32 to 105.46 in Week 12 and again 170.62 to 121.66 in Week 3.
Back Again had one important player that missed out on some opportunities. Terry McLaurin could only reel in a single catch, despite seeing a total of seven targets.
With 33 touches this week for Saquon Barkley, it means that his touches have now increased in three consecutive games.
For the winning side, a few players have been late-season stars, most notably Jonathan Taylor and Nabers. During the playoffs, that duo has bettered their season scoring averages by 163% and 70%, respectively. Conversely, Wanderers has several players heading in the opposite direction. Ka'imi Fairbairn and the Denver Broncos DEF have both fallen significantly short of their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the loss, Back Again had a pair of players performing their best in the playoffs: Justin Jefferson and Joe Burrow. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 26.80 and 29.48 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 38% and 37%. On the other hand, the losers had a few players who struggled in the playoff spotlight, including Chris Boswell and Terry McLaurin.
Wanderers concluded the regular season in first place with a record of 13-2. They also ranked first in the league with 148.45 points per game. In their only other postseason game on their path to the championship, Wanderers destroyed The Blitzburgh Bettis, 145.06 to 80.44. They had the league's best average scoring margin this season, outpacing opponents by 37.39 points per game. Back Again wrapped up the regular season in second place with a record of 11-4. They also ranked second in the league with 126.27 points per game. In their only other postseason game of the season, Back Again defeated Redskins, 151.62 to 122.12.
