Carried by the three-headed monster of Chuba Hubbard, De'Von Achane, and Brian Thomas Jr., Ho Malone humiliated D Kings 145.22 to 73.16. That threesome combined to score 91.70 points, surpassing the total of D Kings. Hubbard rushed for 152 yards, registering 32.50 points (152 Rsh Yds, 2 TD). Achane also came through with 31.00 points (120 Rsh Yds, 70 Rec Yds, 1 TD), while Jr. helped out with 28.20 points (132 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Also, Hubbard recorded his highest point total of the season. Ho Malone had the best score of the week, as well as the second-largest margin of victory in the league this season. To make matters worse, D Kings had a starter score zero points (David Montgomery).
Kendre Miller had plenty of chances for Ho Malone, but he logged just 31 total yards on 10 touches.
Ho Malone was ahead of the curve in the backfield, as they started two of the league's top-five overall RBs this week.
For the victorious side, Jr. is playing his best at the right time. Over the past four games, he has exceeded his season scoring average by 57%. Despite the loss, D Kings had two players peaking for the postseason: Mike Evans and Josh Allen. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 21.38 and 33.19 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 65% and 35%. Conversely, the losers had a couple of players who were fading down the stretch: Breece Hall and Tony Pollard.
Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Ho Malone faces top-seeded Dan. These teams last met in Week 9, with Ho Malone winning, 146.08 to 133.12. D Kings concluded the regular season in seventh place with a record of 6-9. They also ranked seventh in the league with 112.97 points per game. D Kings was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
