Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Logan Rallies Against Legion of zoom, Will Play for Championship

Down 13.46 on Monday night, Logan came back, defeating Legion of zoom 131.98 to 124.74. Logan got 22.40 points from Ja'Marr Chase (97 Rec Yds, 1 TD) and 21.98 from Joe Burrow (252 Pas Yds, 3 TD). Logan goes to 1-1 this season against Legion of zoom, avenging a Week 8 loss (111.48 to 104.48) the last time the teams met. Chuba Hubbard led Legion of zoom with 32.50 points (152 Rsh Yds, 2 TD) while Derrick Henry brought in 20.90 (162 Rsh Yds, 27 Rec Yds). With David Montgomery delivering zero points for Logan, the gap could have been wider.

Checking deeper into the numbers, Legion of zoom can ultimately blame their WR, Jerry Jeudy. Jeudy had been projected to score 13.72 points, actually ended up with 4.00, and that difference was enough for Logan to take the win.

For the winning team, a pair of players have been peaking at the right time: the Cincinnati Bengals DEF and Nico Collins. Over the past four weeks, that duo has bettered their season scoring averages by 145% and 42%, respectively. Despite the loss, Legion of zoom also had two players peaking for the postseason: Jordan Addison and Jerry Jeudy. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 19.12 and 20.93 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 50% and 44%. Conversely, the losers had a couple of players who were fading down the stretch: the Minnesota Vikings DEF and Henry.

Logan headed for the playoffs, powered by a quick start to the campaign. Next week, the league championship will be decided when Logan faces top-seeded BBQ Chicken 2. Logan has a 1-1 record against BBQ Chicken 2 this season. Legion of zoom wrapped up the regular season in second place with a record of 10-5. With a scoring average of 120.16, they also placed fourth in the league in that metric. Legion of zoom was one-and-done this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
