      • Nightghost won this week, even without starting a top-15 scoring QB.
      • Nightghost has now increased their score each of the past three weeks.

      Week 9 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Josh Creeps Past Ilze for 9th in a Row

In a shootout between the two highest-scoring teams of the week, Josh slipped past Ilze 161.90 to 156.82. This is the first time this season a team has scored this many points and not picked up the win. The loss drops Ilze to 4-5 (6th place) and extends their losing streak to three. Josh (9-0) is in first place and has the highest points per game average at 146.64. However, the combined total was a bit surprising given that Josh was only projected to score 121.62 points and Ilze was expected to score 108.49 points. Saquon Barkley (159 Rsh Yds, 40 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD) put up the second-highest point total in the league this week (32.90) and Lamar Jackson scored 23.60 points to lead Josh. Ilze was led by Joe Burrow (251 Pas Yds, 5 TD/1 Int), who accumulated 29.14 points, and Chase Brown (120 Rsh Yds, 37 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD), who finished with 26.70. That pair topped their scoring projections by 59.2% and 79.9%, respectively.

Josh lucked out that Ilze's best DEF had the week off, since the Saints Defense only tallied 3.00 points. If the 49ers Defense (8.25 points per game this season) had played and scored their per-game average, Josh would've been beaten by 0.17 points. While Lamar Jackson led Josh with 24.16 points last week, Barkley paced the squad this week with 32.90.

In Week 10, Josh matches up against Conner Cannons (3-6, 834.96). Ilze gets Jonathan (2-7, 814.98), who sits in last place.
