      Around The League
      • Sierra Hotel India has now beaten their projected score six weeks in a row.
      • Josh has started the season off on the right foot with a 17-game winning streak.
      • Nightghost earned the win this week despite not starting a top-15 scoring QB.
      • Patrik has now increased their score each of the past three weeks.
      • No surprise here: teams have won 60.0% of the time this season when starting the league's top-scoring QB of the week (6-4 overall).
      • Sierra Hotel India probably wishes they had started Malik Nabers. The 36.10 points he scored would have represented the third-highest individual score this week.
      • Ilze has now decreased their score each of the past three weeks.
      • Terry Teams is on a three-game winning streak.

      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Josh Beats Ilze to Win League Championship

Josh stays undefeated in two matchups against Ilze with a 130.12 to 120.88 win. Their overall record goes to 17-0, while Ilze falls to 10-7. Ilze has been a tough matchup for Josh, who now has a 7.16-point average margin of victory against them. That's much smaller than their third-best margin of victory in the league of 33.07. Lamar Jackson (168 Pas Yds, 87 Rsh Yds, 2 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD) was the difference this week, garnering 29.42 points. Jackson continues to be a nice fifth-round pick for Josh and has played like a top-tier quarterback.

Unfortunately for Ilze, the Colts Defense wasn't just the lone D to earn a negative score; they represented the only fantasy starter throughout the whole league in negative territory. A position where Ilze really made a regrettable decision is defensive team. The Atlanta Falcons DEF could have started in place of the Indianapolis Colts DEF, and that point difference could have changed the outcome.

With 33 touches this week for Saquon Barkley, it means that his touches have now increased in three consecutive games.

For the winning side, Calvin Ridley appears to be peaking in the postseason. He has bettered his season scoring average by 33% since the start of the playoffs. Despite the loss, Ilze had several players performing their best in the playoffs, including Jake Elliott and Mike Evans. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 14.00 and 20.80 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 84% and 62%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was sputtering under the brightest lights. Averaging 11.41 points on the season, Cooper Kupp mustered just 4.65 per game in the playoffs.

Josh concluded the regular season in first place with a record of 15-0. They also ranked first in the league with 150.98 points per game. In their only other postseason game on their trail to the title, Josh beat Sierra Hotel India, 154.58 to 127.42. They had the league's best average scoring margin this season, outpacing opponents by 33.07 points per game. Ilze ended the regular season with a record of 9-6, good for third place. In terms of scoring average, they ranked slightly worse (fifth with 118.80). In their only other postseason game of the season, Ilze took down Desert Diablos, 140.18 to 117.76. They passed out their fair share of epic beatdowns this year, as they recorded four blowout victories on the season.
