      Around The League
      • Sophie has now beaten their projected score five weeks in a row.
      • RickS continues defying the pundits, and has beaten their projected score four weeks in a row.
      • Joshua tree won this week, even without starting a top-30 scoring WR.
      • Ivan is on an eight-game winning streak.
      • Unfortunately, Tensta Bears fell short of their projected score for the sixth straight week.
      • It's our year unfortunately stashed Jonathan Taylor on their bench. The 39.80 points would have represented the highest individual amount in the league this week.
      • Teams have won 54.3% of the time this season when they throw no interceptions in a week.
      • No surprise here: teams have won 77.8% of the time this season when starting the league's top-scoring QB of the week (7-2 overall).

      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Bruce Pulls Off Comeback over RickS, Heads to Consolation Championship

Facing a 0.02-point deficit on Monday night, Bruce scored 20.70 to take down RickS 166.34 to 145.66. They also put up the seventh-highest score of the season. This was a back-and-forth battle that saw the lead change hands four times, with the largest lead being the final margin. Bruce goes to 2-1 this season against RickS, including a Week 15 second comeback (148.06 to 125.50). Bruce, already one of the highest-scoring teams in the league this season, beat their 118.81 per game average by 40%.

Bruce was on another level with their wideouts, as they started two of the league's top-10 overall WRs this week (including Jefferson, who was second-best overall).

For the victorious side, several players have been peaking at the right time, including Brian Thomas Jr. and David Njoku. Over the past four weeks, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 57% and 52%, respectively. Conversely, Bruce has a player trending in the wrong direction. Breece Hall has fallen significantly short of his year-to-date average recently. Despite the loss, RickS also had a pair of players peaking for the postseason: Sam LaPorta and Jerry Jeudy. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 14.60 and 20.93 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 59% and 44%.

Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Bruce faces No. 3-seeded Sophie. These teams last met in Week 7, with Bruce winning, 134.44 to 119.74. RickS concluded the regular season in eighth place with a record of 6-9. When considering points per game, they ranked slightly better (sixth with 111.61). RickS was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
