Clinton Pulls Off Comeback over Adirondacks Waffles, Fans Flames of Failure
Clinton picked up 17.78 points from Kirk Cousins (222 Pas Yds, 3 TD) and 16.20 from CeeDee Lamb (47 Rec Yds), sneaking by Adirondacks Waffles 98.18 to 96.36. Clinton came into the Sunday night game facing a 1.48-point deficit, but scored 12.20 for the comeback victory. This was a back-and-forth battle that saw the lead change hands three times, with the largest lead being 42.72 points after Sunday afternoon. After dropping their last three matchups, Adirondacks Waffles has had a bad run. Adirondacks Waffles actually averages more per game in losses (110.17) than wins (108.73). Clinton (7-2, 1,086.56 points) remains in second place and Adirondacks Waffles (3-6, 987.22 points) stays in eighth place.
Aaron Jones had plenty of chances for Clinton, but he logged just 82 total yards on 25 touches.
Since Cousins was the leading point-getter for Clinton, it means a different player has now topped the team in each of the past five weeks.
