Puget Sound Salamanders took advantage of 30.30 points from Trey McBride (123 Rec Yds, 1 TD) and 26.30 from Jahmyr Gibbs (117 Rsh Yds, 46 Rec Yds, 1 TD). This matchup included five lead changes, with the largest lead being the final margin. Puget Sound Salamanders goes to 1-1 this season against Karrie, avenging a Week 8 loss (128.86 to 97.14) the last time the teams met. Lamar Jackson led Karrie with 29.42 points (168 Pas Yds, 87 Rsh Yds, 2 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD) while Ja'Marr Chase racked up 19.20 (102 Rec Yds). Puget Sound Salamanders started one player with zero points while Karrie served up two goose eggs, meaning both teams left points off the scoreboard.

For the winning side, several players have been late-season stars, most notably Gibbs and Calvin Ridley. During the playoffs, that duo has surpassed their season scoring averages by 33% and 33%, respectively. Conversely, Puget Sound Salamanders has a couple of players trending in the wrong direction. Ka'imi Fairbairn and Breece Hall have both fallen significantly short of their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the loss, Karrie also had two players performing their best in the playoffs: Jake Elliott and Keenan Allen. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 14.00 and 18.30 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 84% and 58%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was sputtering under the brightest lights. Averaging 12.08 points on the season, Kenneth Walker III mustered just 6.95 per game in the playoffs.
