Auggies Rallies Against Florida Seals for 3rd Straight Win
Auggies was clutch with 59.36 points on Monday Night Football (39% of their total score) to seal the comeback against Florida Seals 151.76 to 118.12. The late heroics were somewhat unexpected, since they were originally projected to put up 44.46 points on Monday night. Auggies was led by Jonnu Smith, who provided 21.30 points to the final tally (113 Rec Yds). Also, with 151.76 points, Auggies had their highest total of the season. Auggies (6-7, 1,502.70 points) climbs into sixth place. Florida Seals, despite the loss, clinches a playoff spot this week (first place, 11-2, 1,818.00 points).
Since Smith was the top point-getter for Auggies, it means a different player has led the team in each of the last four weeks. With 22.40 points, Chase Brown paced the squad in Week 10, while Bo Nix (28.78 points) was tops in Week 11 and Courtland Sutton (29.70 points) in Week 12.
Auggies will have to step up their game in Week 14 when they go up against Stone Poney (9-4, 1,709.42), who averages a stout 131.49 points per game. Florida Seals takes on Clinton (8-5, 1,497.10).
