Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Panhead Mike Finishes Strong Against Adirondacks All Stars, Secures Spot in Championship

Panhead Mike picked up 20.90 points from Derrick Henry (162 Rsh Yds, 27 Rec Yds) and 20.48 from Lamar Jackson (207 Pas Yds, 3 TD/1 Int) to defeat Adirondacks All Stars 132.58 to 115.68. Panhead Mike came into the Sunday night game facing a 0.60-point deficit, but scored 17.50 for the comeback victory. This was a back-and-forth battle that saw the lead change hands three times, with the largest lead being 56.68 points after Thursday. Panhead Mike gets revenge for a Week 14 loss (77.36 to 66.40) and improves to 1-2 this season against Adirondacks All Stars. Adirondacks All Stars was led by James Cook with 27.60 points (100 Rsh Yds, 26 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD) and Joe Burrow, who scored 21.98 (252 Pas Yds, 3 TD). With Younghoe Koo delivering zero points for Panhead Mike, the result might have been even worse.

Unfortunately for Adirondacks All Stars, the Cardinals Defense wasn't just the lone DEF to post a negative score; they represented the only fantasy starter throughout the whole league to do so.

Despite the loss, Adirondacks All Stars had a pair of players peaking for the postseason: Davante Adams and Jerry Jeudy. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 26.52 and 20.93 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 94% and 44%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was fading down the stretch. D'Andre Swift has dipped below his yearly average by 37% over the past month.

Next week, the league championship will be decided when Panhead Mike faces top-seeded RAMPAGE. Panhead Mike is winless against RAMPAGE in two matchups this season, with their most recent loss coming in Week 10. Adirondacks All Stars concluded the regular season with a record of 9-6, good for second place. In terms of scoring average, they ranked slightly worse (third with 120.84). Adirondacks All Stars was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
