Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Bless Your Heart Gets Win Against The Stooges to Get to Consolation Championship

Bless Your Heart benefited from 26.00 points from Jameson Williams (143 Rec Yds, 1 TD) and 21.02 from Bo Nix (263 Pas Yds, 25 Rsh Yds, 2 TD), taking down The Stooges 133.52 to 115.44. Bless Your Heart gets revenge for a Week 13 loss (139.72 to 99.36) and improves to 1-2 this season against The Stooges. Justin Jefferson racked up the second-highest score of the league this week with 36.40 points (144 Rec Yds, 2 TD) for The Stooges.

There was one player on Bless Your Heart that let some chances slip through his hands. Even though DK Metcalf saw a total of seven targets, he reeled in just three catches.

For the winning team, Williams is hitting his stride at the right time. Over the past four weeks, he has surpassed his season scoring average by 41%. Conversely, Bless Your Heart has a player moving in the wrong direction, as Cooper Kupp has fallen significantly short of his year-to-date average recently. Despite the loss, The Stooges also had several players peaking for the postseason, most notably Puka Nacua and Jefferson. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 22.62 and 26.45 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 86% and 45%.

Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Bless Your Heart matches up against No. 3-seeded Red's Cowboys. Bless Your Heart is undefeated against Red's Cowboys in two matchups this season, with their last win coming in Week 14. The Stooges wrapped up the regular season in fifth place with a record of 7-8. From a points per game perspective, they ranked slightly better (fourth with 119.61). The Stooges was one-and-done this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
