      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Powered by Stars, Squatters Handles Barnyard Breezerkers

Spearheaded by the triumvirate of Malik Nabers, Baker Mayfield, and Mike Evans, Squatters overwhelmed Barnyard Breezerkers 178.36 to 112.78. That threesome combined to score 100.36 points, winning the battle against the top scorers from Barnyard Breezerkers (Jahmyr Gibbs, Josh Allen, and Puka Nacua), who totaled 72.18 points. Nabers racked up 171 yards, registering 36.10 points (171 Rec Yds, 2 TD). Meanwhile, Mayfield came through with five passing touchdowns (34.56 points) and Evans scored two touchdowns (29.70 points). Nabers also recorded the third-highest point total in the league this week, with Mayfield tallying his highest point total of the season. Squatters had the top score of the week, as well as the fourth-largest margin of victory in the league this season. To make matters worse, Barnyard Breezerkers had a starter score zero points (Ka'imi Fairbairn).

Along with being the one defense to post a negative score, the Pittsburgh Steelers DEF (on Barnyard Breezerkers) represented the lone starter in the whole league in the negatives.

In addition to the fantasy W, Squatters was savvy enough to select winners in real-life football, as well. Among all of their starters, Josh Jacobs was the only one that suited up on a losing NFL team in Week 17.

For the winning team, a few players have been getting hot in the playoffs, most notably Jalen McMillan and Sam LaPorta. During the playoffs, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 219% and 72%, respectively. Conversely, Squatters has a player moving in the wrong direction. The Minnesota Vikings DEF has fallen significantly short of their year-to-date average in the postseason by 44%. Despite the loss, Barnyard Breezerkers had several players performing their best in the playoffs, including Nacua and Gibbs. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 18.25 and 25.85 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 49% and 33%. On the other hand, the losers had a few players who struggled in the playoff spotlight, including the Steelers D and Fairbairn.
