      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Midnight Express Comes Back to Edge Robert and Remains Unbeaten in Head-to-Head Play

Midnight Express remains undefeated against Robert this season after yet another win, this time by a final score of 120.80 to 119.64. They go to 8-9, while Robert drops to 6-11. Patrick Mahomes passed for 320 yards and was the determining factor this week, garnering 26.00 points. Mahomes has turned out to be a solid fifth-round grab for Midnight Express and has played like a top-tier quarterback. In three matchups with Robert, Midnight Express has a 25.74-point average margin of victory.

There was one significant starter on Midnight Express that missed out on opportunities. Terry McLaurin could only reel in a single catch, despite seeing a total of seven targets.

For the winners, a few players have been playoff studs, most notably Brian Thomas Jr. and Bucky Irving. During the playoffs, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 61% and 51%, respectively. On the other hand, Midnight Express has two players moving in the wrong direction. Terry McLaurin and Jake Moody have both fallen well beneath their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the loss, Robert had a couple of players performing their best in the playoffs: Jonathan Taylor and Mike Evans. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 33.70 and 20.80 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 163% and 62%. Conversely, the losers had a player who was sputtering under the brightest lights. Averaging 14.43 points on the season, Breece Hall mustered just 10.15 per game in the playoffs.
