Behind Three Big Performances, ITS GETTING MESSI Gets to Championship
Led by the triple threat of De'Von Achane, Saquon Barkley, and Jahmyr Gibbs, ITS GETTING MESSI picked up a win against hs1 192.58 to 137.96. That threesome combined to score 83.40 points, clearly outpacing the Atlanta Falcons DEF, Brandon Aubrey, and Davante Adams (64.80 combined points), the top three on hs1. Barkley rushed for 150 yards, registering 27.00 points (150 Rsh Yds, 2 TD). Achane also came through with 31.00 points (120 Rsh Yds, 70 Rec Yds, 1 TD), while Gibbs pitched in 25.40 points (109 Rsh Yds, 45 Rec Yds, 1 TD). With 192.58 points, ITS GETTING MESSI had the top total in the league this season.
Dowdle had plenty of opportunities for hs1, but could only manage 51 total yards on 16 touches.
ITS GETTING MESSI was on a different level in the backfield, as they started two of the league's top-10 overall RBs this week (including Achane, who was in the top five).
For the victorious side, Tee Higgins is peaking at the right time. Over the past four fantasy matchups, he has exceeded his season scoring average by 41%. Despite the loss, hs1 had several players peaking for the postseason, most notably the Falcons D and Adams. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 13.00 and 26.52 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 176% and 94%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was fading down the stretch. Kenneth Walker III has dipped below his yearly average by 57% over the past month.
