      Week 1 Recap: Tuesday Edition

hs1 Inches Past ITS GETTING MESSI

In a shootout between the two highest-scoring teams of the week, hs1 slipped past ITS GETTING MESSI 159.78 to 153.42. The tough loss puts ITS GETTING MESSI in sixth place to start the season. hs1 has a lot to look forward to, beginning their season in first. ITS GETTING MESSI got burned by fourth-round draft pick DK Metcalf, who scored only 5.90 points this week. Josh Allen (232 Pas Yds, 39 Rsh Yds, 2 Pas TD, 2 Rsh TD) registered 31.18 points and Alvin Kamara (83 Rsh Yds, 27 Rec Yds, 1 TD) scored 22.00 points, exceeding their projections by 43.2% and 46.7%, respectively. Saquon Barkley (109 Rsh Yds, 2 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD) got the second-highest score this week (33.20) and Lamar Jackson scored 25.12 points for ITS GETTING MESSI.

There are a couple of spots where ITS GETTING MESSI is really kicking themselves, as Chris Godwin could have started in place of either Metcalf or DJ Moore. Either of those point differentials would've been enough to change the outcome.

In addition to the fantasy victory, hs1 was savvy enough to choose winners in real-life football, as well. Among all of their starters, Davante Adams is the only one that didn't play on a winning NFL team in Week 1.

Next week, hs1 takes on Wings of Winter (0-1, 105.02), while ITS GETTING MESSI faces PDX Skin (0-1, 117.94).
