      Around The League
      • Turf Toe Joes continues defying the pundits, and has beaten their projected score six weeks in a row.
      • AppleBottomGenos has now beaten their projected score three weeks in a row.
      • Teams that started a top-5 scoring QB went a perfect 2-0 overall this week.
      • Gunjunkunkus is on a six-game winning streak.
      • No surprise here: teams have won 83.3% of the time this season when starting the league's top-scoring QB of the week (5-1 overall).
      • Unfortunately, DIME PACKAGE fell short of their projected score for the fifth straight week.
      • ONE SHOT ONE KILL started the league's top-scoring RB (Cook with 28.30 points) and the top-scoring TE (Otton with 29.10) this week.
      • CHOICE WAIVERS probably wishes they had started Ladd McConkey. The 29.10 points he scored would have represented the fifth-highest individual score this week.

      Week 8 Recap: Tuesday Edition

CHOICE WAIVERS Picks Up Win Against tdowt, Drops Them into 6th Place

A last-ditch rally on Sunday Night Football (45.60 points, 36% of their total score) wasn't enough for tdowt, as CHOICE WAIVERS got the 160.24 to 125.10 victory. The late-match efforts were impressive, considering their pregame projections only called for 25.14 points on Sunday night. CHOICE WAIVERS was led by Jalen Hurts (236 Pas Yds, 37 Rsh Yds, 1 Pas TD, 3 Rsh TD). Hurts scored three touchdowns and contributed 35.14 points to the final tally. Adding insult to injury, tdowt got zero points from Dallas Goedert. The 160.24 points represented the fourth-highest total in the league this season, as well. tdowt (4-4, 909.98 points) drops to sixth place, while CHOICE WAIVERS (6-2, 1,034.42 points) remains in second place.

There was a player on both teams that had plenty of chances but missed out on opportunities. On the winning side, James Conner got 22 touches but only tallied 69 total yards, while Kenneth Walker III managed just 45 yards on 13 touches for tdowt.

Hurts has now led CHOICE WAIVERS in scoring in back-to-back weeks. In addition to the fantasy victory, CHOICE WAIVERS was savvy enough to select winners in real life, as well. Among all of their starters, Alvin Kamara is the only one that suited up on a losing NFL team this week. Additionally, with 17 targets this week for CeeDee Lamb, it means that his targets have now increased in four consecutive games.

In Week 9, CHOICE WAIVERS gets Hogan's Heroes (3-5, 848.78), while tdowt battles DIME PACKAGE (2-6, 763.94).
